“Excellent ! I love the space. I didn't order the fried chicken but my husband did. My only regret is not asking the chef for a recipe. It was melt in your mouth to die for. I had the wedge salad, the dill dressing was creamy and obviously home made - the perfect balance against the crisp lettuce. Mushroom soup was excellent as well - soup of the day yesterday. Nice pieces of mushroom and not over creamy as soups of this nature can be. I tasted mushroom not cream. Great job !! Kudos to the chef.”

“Solid four stars. Our choices - buffalo burger, grilled beef and cheese sandwich with cold peach soup. Soup was different and tasty. Burger was good but needs a sauce for moisture. Disappointed in frozen fries - the claim is that "everything is home made". Make reservations to avoid being told to make reservations.”

“Spent 100$ on them for thanksgiving dinner. Bought food for 6 people, ended up with 10's worth in portions. Food was fresh, delicious. Turkey wasn't too dry and nice and juicy but also well cooked. Vegetables were fresh and everything was seasoned perfectly (but not too much). 10/10, highly recommend for high quality seasonal dinners. Will be coming back ”

After making arrangements with a friend to take a quick tour of Rebel Creek Golf Club, we came to realize the reviews and referels by friends were more or less precise. Brendan from administration was able to address all my golf query. I also had the liberty of speaking with the general manager and he enhanced our welcome with compliments. “On the way to Stratford from Toronto we wanted to have a low key, comforting meal. Just west of Kitchener we nipped up to Baden and found Melina's Grill. It was the answer to our wishes. Simple, friendly and good food. We had the chicken souvlaki dinner with a glass of wine and enjoyed relieving the plates of their offerings while the owners sat chatting with some regulars. Great place to have a meal!”

“When I went to this establishment a year ago the service was not good. No beating around the bush. I went today again after that year and the restaurant had a complete 180 turn. The service was fast, food was good, staff was friendly, and everything! They apologized for the wait even though we had only waited 5 mins very tops. I’m glad to see the store thriving!”

“This restaurant is the only Chinese food left in New Hamburg. It is take out and cash only. The food is phenomenal! Everything is prepared fresh, and they use local quality ingredients. The menu has a huge selection, with very well priced lunch and dinner combo specials. The portions are huge, a dinner for 1 will feed 2 people with leftovers. The place is small, and you can watch the food being prepared. If you want Chinese take out, this is the place to go.”

“I loved everything about MeMe’s cafe. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous! I had the bagel with smoked salmon and it had the perfect cream cheese to smoked salmon ratio. My partner had the tuna and he loved it. The bread was fresh and fluffy. The atmosphere was fresh and light. The art work and fresh flowers on the tables were a nice touch. “Good little familly restaurant. This restaurant has been around for a while and is a fixture in downtown New Hamburg. They specialize in breakfast. Dinners are also excellent. Souvlaki is their dinner specialty, but their fish and chips are excellent. The place is bright and clean. The service is friendly and efficient. There is a lot of competition in this small town, and the fact they have survived for so long is testament to their quality.”
