Heaven on 7 Bistro & Pub

The food was absolutely delicious! I was very pleasantly surprised as the place looks a bit on the shabby side. The bacon sandwich was perfect and the French soup was good too. I was too full for dessert which was a shame! Can't wait to go back!

Yesterday my wife and I enjoyed a dive to Rockwood and dinner at Heaven on Seven - a delightful neighbourhood bistro. We were warmly greeted at the door, and after ordering drinks, we examined the print and blackboard menus. My wife ordered the salmon which was excellent, while I chose the steak and fries. Since neither of us fancied the vegetable of the day, zucchini, we elected for salads. My steak came with a peppercorn sauce. This is frequently anemic, but Heaven on Seven’s contained plenty of peppercorns and left a pleasant warm burn in the mouth. The desserts looked great but we passed on them this visit. Tons of daily specials. Try the fish and chips, beautiful cod with perfect batter and super thin frites. Dill tartar sauce to die for.

I must have driven past heaven for the last ten years on my way to and from.guelph and we finally stopped in. We had a really nice fresh meal. The location has a pleasant atmosphere with some interesting metal sculptures. There is a large selection on local beers. I had a wonderful pork tenderloin perfectly cooked. The only suggestion I would make is to have real chips not shoestring fries with the fish and chips
