“We just LOVED this cafe/restaurant. The food was SO fresh and delicious, the coffee was spectacular, the service was incredibly friendly. My 8-year old son loved that there were games and books available to use while he was waiting for the meal. He and I also enjoyed chatting with Daniela, the very friendly owner. We went for lunch one day, came back for breakfast 2 days later, and was equally impressed with each meal. Their homemade jams were delicious.”

“4.75 stars really. Our second meal was as delicious as the first. The food is beautifully presented and prepared by a soon to be well recognized chef. Service is superb. For those that know, the setting is outstanding, so nice to see the resurrection of the real bistro Champlain. Sophie and her chef husband are really doing this place justice. We wish them the greatest success and hope that tables will be available in the future as this restaurant will definitely not go unnoticed.”

Ma femme ne pouvait pas manger de protéines bovine et le personnel était très bien informé sur les plats en contenant. Le chef a même proposé des modifications au menu afin d’accommoder ma femme et même proposé un dessert vegan, hors du menu, afin de lui permettre de manger un dessert. Très belle expérience. Il a été très patient alors qu'on regardait le catalogue, posait des questions, et même qu'on prenait des photos des bouteilles pour les retrouver par la suite! Il a été assez patient :) Bref ! “My husband and I arrived at the Excelsior hotel after 9pm and asked at the reception desk if we could still have dinner at the restaurant on site. They called the restaurant and asked them to wait for two late hotel guests. We started with cheese sticks and salad followed by grilled butterfly shrimp with a side of veggies, rice, and potato wedges. To my surprise, everything was cooked to perfection and quite tasty. The two ladies that waited on us that night were efficient, polite, helpful, and happy to answer all our questions. We enjoyed our meal and would not hesitate to return or to recommend the Amadeus restaurant to friends.”

“Closed permanently. Always ate well here, and had fun in a kitschy atmosphere. The restaurant had been run by the same owners for almost 40 years.
