“Stopped by during Spring Break for dinner with a party of 12. We expected to wait a bit with that size group. The hostess was very friendly and excellent in communicating during our wait for a table. Good food, fun live music, friendly staff, and excellent market with souvenirs made it worth the visit!”

“Cute friendly little place. But fits the criteria of a convenient store. Pricey . Restaurant is not that great but decent.”

“Food was good but took a long time to get. Service was good but slow. Ambiance was not good because we were tucked away in worst part of restaurant. Yes it was Friday. Yes they had a wedding party. Yes they were busy. Yes we probably would have enjoyed it more if we were on the other side where the music and scenery is. Still wasn't a great first visit and will cause us hesitation to return before trying other establishments.”

“Ed’s Seafood Shed had a lot to offer. After a visit to the USS Alabama, me and my girlfriend decided to eat here. I got the Charbroiled Chicken Breast, and it tasted amazing. On top of the excellent food, the host was polite, quick, and had a great handle on the menu. Her recommendations were on point. Even more, the service was fast and got our food out even faster. I’d highly recommend Ed’s Seafood Shed if you’re looking to eat out in the area.”

“Incredible food. Attentive and knowledgeable waiter. Our waiter, Parker, suggested the soup sampler when we couldn't figure out which soup to try. All three soups were so tasty. Our entrees were also very flavorful. Parker was possibly the best waiter I've ever had. He was knowledgeable and yet willing to check on something when he wasn't sure of the answer. He even gave us recommendations for places in other cities we were going to be visiting. He made us feel like we were his only customers when he clearly was waiting on others in the room. If I'm ever in Mobile again, I will definitely be back.”

“The food was tasty once we actually got it. There was well over an hour wait and the waitress forgot several parts of our order. The view was nice. We were seated very quickly, and I enjoyed the decor. Unfortunately, I don't think we will return.”

“A great place for seafood and family. Came in with 9 and after a reasonable wait for a Saturday night was seated and taken care of well. Thanks!”

“A bit disappointed. Haven't eaten here in years, but last time I did it was excellent. Ordered catfish for lunch and they no longer serve, need to update their menu. So I got the popcorn shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Coleslaw tasted strange, may have just been me, but couldn't get it to taste better even after adding a lot of pepper. The meal was served way too long quickly. My popcorn shrimp were barely warm and a bit rubbery. They must have been sitting under a warmer for quite awhile. Waitress was super nice and I would say service was good, but they sacrifice food quality. Too many other fine restaurants on causeway I would recommend.”

“We enjoyed our lunch here. Other places were full with waits, but this place sat us immediately. It's gotten some bad reviews, I can't agree with some of what I read. Our food came out very quick. It was well seasoned and hot...except for my beans, tasted good, but could have been hotter. I had fish tacos. The generous portion of fish was fresh & not over-cooked. The sauce had a lot of flavor. The rice wasn't sticky or dry and tasted good to me. Hubby had a taco salad...it was so big it didn't stay in the shell. In fact, the shell is constructed so that it's meant to be open on one side to allow the ingredients to "spill" out onto the plate. He enjoyed the salad, but couldn't eat it all. He thought it was seasoned well. Also, they make their shells in-house on an cool machine. Kind of wanted to go back there and help make shells. :) The service was good, too. Our server was very pleasant and made us feel like we were the only ones there...and we weren't. They had a good lunch crowd.”
