The food is impeccable compared to any other ethnic eatery around here in my opinion. The dessert is always a favorite of mine and I implore you to try the fried cheese cake, it is remarkable! And also, if I might add, the service is some of the best I have seen when it comes to sit down restaurants in general. Everyone who has waited my table always has a smile on their face. In my experiences I am always spoken to with such kindness and respect and I rarely even hav to ask for any refills! They are spot on and quick to get anything else that I might need. “In town for business and decided to try Top of the River and really had a great experience. Our server Khadeeja was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. I had the combo with the ribs and catfish and fries and I like the wide variety of choices on the combo. The sauce with the ribs not very thick but it was tasty, the catfish was fresh and the batter nice and crunchy. I wasn’t a fan of the cornbread but I did enjoy the coleslaw that was served when we first sat down. Will definitely return before I leave for Texas.”

“Slow service. Our waitress seemed like she was preoccupied or something. We had to keep asking for refills. She didn't bring our condiments with our order and she just placed our plates down and supposedly went to get them. 17 minutes later she came bringing them. 17 minutes!!!! Not good, but she was well mannered, clean and friendly! I'm not going to say don't come here because overall it wasn't terrible. It looked clean and they were starting to get busy when we left.”
