Food was really good. Inside could use a little renovation and the bathroom soap was broken. Otherwise an overall good experience. Definitely get the Tiramisu

I ordered some to go, and the food was alright. It was nothing special. Everything was kind of just meh. The moussaka was a little soggy and watery at the bottom. I don't know, but it didnt seem fresh. Also one of the sides tasted really weird as in sour kind of bad weird. I have no idea what it is or if it is supposed to taste like that. It was kind of an appetite killer. I wouldn't say this is a must go in Birmingham.

Nabeel's has been established for a long time. Their specialty is Greek food. The restaurant is unpretentious with wooden booths that that have seen many patrons and cushions that need replacing. There are small plaques with people's names that are screwed to the wall in each booth. That said, the food is very good. The feta cheese in their Greek salad was lovely. I am not a fan of feta so that is a big compliment. It wasn't salty and crumbly but almost a creamy texture and a flavor that added to the salad instead of taking over the whole show. I had the gyro with fried pita chips. This is a very meaty wrap and yummy. Hubby had the pastitsio. He declared it good and wished for more. We went at lunch so the serving size was small. Service was casual but attentive.

Good falafal. Good but greasy fries. Hummus is fantastic. Friendly wait staff. It can get really busy at lunch.

The food was amazing. The pesto was fresh. The server was efficient and attentive. However the aesthetics were aging. And a slight stale smell was in the air. A little interior refresh and the place would be as inviting as the food and staff.
