“We booked a month out to get a 6:15 reservation for a Saturday night. Overall a solid meal but not the wow I was expecting. The service was good ... water glasses never went dry but my iced tea was not refilled as you would expect. The waiter was both knowledgeable and professional. Our party of three tried a variety of appetizers, main courses and desserts. The appetizers we good but not great. I sampled the fried mixed seafood fry as an appetizer. The seafood was fresh but the batter was a little heavy and unevenly cooked. It appeared to be a spin on tempura batter but came off too thick.”

“I will be the first to admit that I do not like pizza and am hesitant to ever pay money for pizza; however, I wanted to take someone to get pizza. I decided upon this place after hearing positive things about it and seeing it on my walks. First off, the place is incredibly clean and has a fresh atmosphere. The location is great in Five Points South. I decided on the honey jalapeño pizza and it was incredible. This was one of the better meals that I have eaten in a long time. I finished every bite that I got which NEVER happens when I eat pizza. I spoke with the co-owner and she was incredibly kind as well was the waiter. I will definitely be back.”

“Excellent food and service. The Trout Almondine with browned butter was perfect! Also good were the Lobster and Shrimp Open-faced BLT and the Steak and Fries. The Lemon Meringue Tart, the Pot of Chocolate, and the Coconut Cake were delicious. A little noisy ... so recommend either going at a less busy time (like between 3 PM and 4 PM) or choose to dine outside in the courtyard.”

“Oh my goodness! This is a must go to restaurant if you’re anywhere near Downtown Birmingham. We don’t live close, maybe 20 minutes away, but we made the drive for dinner take out. It was completely worth it!!! We will definitely do it again. The food was outstanding! Even after driving 20 minutes home. My husband even took his leftovers to work that night and said it was just as good as it was when we ate it earlier that night. There are not any restaurants in the Birmingham area that can even compare to T-Bone’s Philly Cheesesteaks sandwiches. Not a single one!”

“I can't say enough about this place, because it is so different. This was the place for my son's and myself on Mondays. The lamb shwarma(wrap), or the chicken and a fresh fruit juice. Either one, you can't go wrong. She even knows my order (and my mom's order) by heart, and always remembers that my spouse orders coffee. Just that would be enough to recommend it, but the food is also amazing! They have a huge selection of vegan options, and every single one I've had is delicious. My favorite is the sweet and sour tofu, but the curry tofu, vegetable fried rice, vegetable dumplings, Mongolian chicken, and Mongolian beef are all incredible, as well. If you only ever eat at one restaurant in Birmingham, this needs to be it!!!”

“Excellent meal at 5 Point Public House and Oyster Bar. They're open for dine in, but call for a reservation. I went stag, so I was able to take one of the three seats at the oyster bar. Everything was very good, but the fried cheese curds were amazing! The beer list is impressive and it's great that they offer 1/2 carafes of wine. There were five or six raw oyster choices, but only two were outside the gulf - VA and MD. I was expecting some AL farmed oysters, Point Aux Pins or Murder Points. The price was reasonable, between $2 and $2.50 each. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits. I'm more of a bacon, mushroom and green onion shrimp and grits fan. 5 Point's rendition favors cubed sausage and sweet peppers, but still well worth the $16 price. Not to be redundant, but the fried cheese curds were sublime.”

“My 16 year old and I were in town for a soccer tournament last night and stopped in to this restaurant. We were in sweatshirt and jeans while most people were more dressed up. They seated us right away since they knew we would be fast and would clear the table by their next reservation. Kudos to the reception people!! Also, kudos to Mitch our server. You all were so wonderful. For an appetizer we had the crunchy salmon sushi roll which was just as good as sushi I have had in Japan.”

“Now this little jewel right here was awesome. Spicy Thai restaurant with great drinks...I mean you can't go wrong. Very affordable with a clean and elegant dining room to eat some very authentic treats from this place. The only bad thing about this place is finding a place to park. Other than that superb food,service from the waiters, and they kept you informed about what ever dishes that you had questions about. The drinks, I REPEAT...THE DRINKS WERE AMAZING. Just go but look for hours of operation because they open and close at different times depending on days, weekends, and reopenings.”
