My first time there today and I must say I was satisfied. I got the ribs and chicken with collard greens and baked beans. The staff friendly and inviting. I would have given a 5 star but the greens could use some work could use a little more seasoning. The meat was so flavorful and so tender. You definitely don't need any sauce for the meat, it stands on its own. I definitely will be back!
Oh my pure goodness! This was our first visit and not our last. We ordered lunch and dinner!
The ribs were so tender, the swai was fried perfectly, the chopped pork was seasoned to perfection. The mac 'n cheese and baked beans would make an Auntie smile with pride! Even the cornbread was good. And the portions and prices were really good!
The Staff gave us lots of info, answered our questions with patience, and were sociable...great visit.
The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is very friendly. I like the fact that they serve beef ribs because a lot of places don't. When I say the ribs fell off the bone they fell off the bone. The bake beans with the beef in them were delicious. And the fish was really good as well with the okra. This is the best rib spot in the Opelika/Auburn area. Finger linking good. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was amazing! Drove down from ATL and it was definitely worth the drive! The meat was falling off of the rib bones! Great customer service. Took three more plates to-go. I’ll definitely be returning.
This is an amazing and delicious Black-owned Southern BBQ restaurant. One of the owners welcomed me and thoroughly explained the menu because it was my first time. She was super sweet and hospitable. The pork ribs taste divine and fall of the bone. The baked beans had ground beef and were also delicious. I haven’t tried everything yet but will definitely be finishing the plate tonight.
The picture below is of a mixed meat plate: pork ribs, grilled chicken, mac and cheese, baked beans, and corn bread. She also put samples of two different BBQ sauces in the bag. I will definitely be returning and telling everyone I know.
