This place never disappoints. Whether you are at the Providence or Airport Road location, consistency and amazing quality is held captive here. I visited the Airport Road location for birthday cupcakes for my oldest son. We purchased a four pack of Oreo topped. One word: extremely decadent!
This is such a cute bakery! My friend and I went for an early lunch and I loved seeing all of the baked goods & take-away options (chicken salad, wraps, etc).
I have heard great things about it before coming, and definitely will return!
I had some of the lunch items and my friend had a pastry. All of it was delicious!
We had a sweet tooth and Edgars did not disappoint. The only reason I'm rating my experience as a four star is due to the confusion when standing in line and ordering. I'd like to have browsed the entire pastry display before ordering but if you do that, customers think you are cutting in line. Then, once you're waited on, it's hard to browse the line due to the sheer number of people trying to check out. I'm wondering if the owner and staff have considered implementing a numbering system so that people can browse and check out when their number is called. It seems that would reduce the amount of confusion when ordering and paying.
The food here is always amazing. We've ordered the cinnamon rolls, orange rolls, and pecan rolls and they're all delicious and moist with plenty of icing. We also enjoyed the chicken salad sandwiches with fruit on a lunch outing. We've never had to wait very long for food to be served. The whole interior and exterior of the restaurant is clean, organized, and easy to maneuver. On a couple of occasions, we had to go ask them for extras like silverware and straws and it can be hard to get their attention on a busy day due to being short-staffed. However, I understand this. Most restaurants are short-staffed right now. They should consider putting silverware and straws out on a table over by the drinks so that customers don't have to ask for this.
Great strawberry cake, staff and atmosphere, but the $10 cheese straws are a huge disappointment unless you like your cheese straws moist, spongy and cake-like. I thought cheese straws are supposed to be crispy and cookie-like. I bought them a second time a few months later thinking the first batch I bought must be a fluke, but nope. Moist and spongy again. No thanks. (Huntsville location).
