This is a Bucket list Place.

First time at the school house and highly recommend eating here. Food is fresh and the atmosphere is great. Very friendly people.

A true treasure...the best, most authentic down-home Southern cooking in the Montgomery region. Well worth the trip. Quaint, beautifully appointed former schoolhouse in Grady with welcoming staff. Forget "It Don't Matter", this country locale has class and superior cuisine! Highly recommended!

December 2017 I traveled from Kentucky to say goodbye to my uncle who was terminal with cancer. For years he talked about how wonderful this place was, so while my mother and I were visiting, he made us load up in the car and drive to Grady, Alabama. Although the trip was difficult for him, it was worth it. This is now my favorite memory with my favorite uncle. Driving to a little school house tucked away in the boonies - and eating the best chicken I've ever had in my life. Definitely worth a visit! The character and hospitality of this wonderful restaurant have left an imprint on my heart and my stomach!
