“It seemed as if our server was the only person consistently getting tables, as our section became full very fast. She finally gets a chance to bring our food out and our fries were warm. We ask for another order, she did bring them back unfortunately we had finished our burgers by then. Our server was very polite and apologetic. it just seemed as if she was the only one there. I can say it was our worst visit ever.”

“I went in for the first time in a long time and a gentleman behind the counter saw that I was trying to figure out what I wanted. He jumped in and began asking me questions about what kind of smoothie I was looking for and if I had any allergies. We figured out the best bet would be the vegan dark chocolate and banana smoothie. He made sure I tried it before I left and said that if I wasn't feeling that he would make me another. Now it is my go to smoothie!”

“Initially thought this place had a salad bar, never having visited, so I was a little sceptical when we walked in and realized it was a make to order type establishment. Wow! My husband had a wrap and I had the Cobb salad. It was amazing!! We really enjoyed our lunch and the ladies who worked behind the counter were super nice and helpful. “Service and food was fantastic as usual. They're friendly, attentive, and repeat your order as they go to make sure they get it right. That's good because they typically have a line of food items in progress all at the same time. Salsa station has good choices with my favorite being what I'd say or call the flavor as mango-pineapple. The gentleman that either owns or manages this store keeps a very good and friendly staff that takes care of the customers. As well, they typically always do it with a smile. Best of all, it's made to your satisfaction.”

“Here for dinner for the first time. Plenty of seating at 5 PM both inside and outside, but chose outside as it was very noisy inside due to a number of large groups. Great selection of beers and the beer menu gives an very good description of each one. Beers and water ordered, we skipped appetizers and ordered house salads, a spinach salad and a simple salad. These are large enough to be a meal in themselves. I had the simple salad - fresh and crispy greens with red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and creamy Gorgonzola dressing that was not overpowering. Three pizzas ordered, a large half "Steak and Mushrooms" and the other half "Hot Mama." A small gluten free "Chicken Gouda. And a large "Classic." All arrived hot and with a nice crispy and flavorful crust. Everyone at our table was happy with the pizzas. Our server did an excellent job getting our order, serving and checking on us. Will be back. Reservations only for large groups.”

“I love this place. The food is great however some of the servers can be rude. Went there with a group from work. More people came so we asked for a bigger table. Once we moved no one would help us. I went up front to ask if someone could get the rest of our tables order and refill the drinks of those of us that had already been there. No one came. One of my coworkers went back up and one of the waiters said, "Ain't my job. " and was really rude to her so argued back and got kicked out. Our table waited another 15 minutes and when no one even came to get their drink order they left. It should have never gotten so bad. We were not not or rude we just waited forever.”

“We went to see Ty Soul perform. Great show, great energy. Had me standing and dancing the entire time. Good food. We loved the chicken and waffles. Kevin and Drea were excellent in taking care of our needs. Took one star away for the server who kept interrupting the show and sat at a table most of the night, in uniform. He sat down playing with his hair in-between waiting on a couple of tables.”

“Hadn't been to Martha's Place in quite awhile--it has been expanded and is now very nicely laid out and attractive. The tables are covered with lovely black cloth table linens and red charger plates with place settings. There is a hot food bar and a salad/dessert bar. The hot food bar offered several different entrees and lots of choices for vegetables. The salad bar had a nice variety; dessert bar was limited, but had some delicious options. Service was very good and the food was great. Definitely plan to visit more often!!”

“I got the brisket open faced sandwich with the creamy mac n’ cheese and I can say it is absolutely the best BBQ I’ve had so far in Alabama. The brisket was tender and flavorful and the mac n’ cheese actually cheesy and creamy. My wife also really enjoyed the loaded potato. We’ll definitely come back. The staff were also patient and courteous. And, to top it off, the building itself was clean.”

“Their gravy was wonderful. Creamy, full of sausage, and flavorful. It paired perfectly with their fluffy biscuit. We also ordered a strawberry sweet cream waffle to try. This was far too much food for us, but I did get quite a few bites in. I adored the waffle. The whip cream was a delicious addition, and it was sweet and perfect without syrup. They did offer some, but I didn't try it. We took home a few pastries as well. The sticky bin was my favorite, but my husband was partial to the brownie. It was a cake style brownie, if you enjoy that type. The coffee cake was very sweet, but also excellent”
