Kobe Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar

I celebrated my graduation last night in this excellent restaurant. Well we passed a magnificent evening and the venue was surely one of the reasons for this fruitful gathering. The crew participated in a graceful manner, the food was tasty and my guests were so thrilled. We shall definitely visit again for more events. Thank you very much.

I used to go to their place when it was on 280 Hwy before the fire. It has been quite awhile since then. It's a very different place now, different clientele. I am so glad they were able to survive all the changes. But the quality of the food is not what it was before. I hate to write this review. But for anyone looking for the old Kobe, it's gone. Times change and we have to change with them. But some changes make me sad. This is one of those times

This was our first visit to Kobe. Like so many others, we went here for a family birthday celebration. We took their "free" birthday acknowledgment of drum playing and singing. The food was good. I would have said very good were it not for the chicken being slightly tough. He added noodles to the meal, which I have never seen before at any Japanese Steakhouse, and they were delicious. The chef was personable and very entertaining. My grandchildren loved having the shrimp tossed into their mouths. The server was exceptionally efficient, kind, and sweet. The only downside was the rude hostess, who was on duty at 5:00 PM on Monday, June 30...FYI.

The food here is fantastic. Sadly, our server was less than attentive. Drinks went without refill and needs mostly unmet. Not sure why he was so inattentive but it's one I'd the worst service experiences I've had. I don't remember him telling us his name to know who to avoid. Go for the food, hopefully the service will improve!
