“Whenever we are near Brookwood we venture to Jasons for the best salad options in town. The menu and deli options must be good, based on the salad quality, but we have yet to eat anything other than the salad bar. Since discovering this spot, we have returned nearly a dozen times; Brookwood Jason's is better than the other outlets we have also tried in the BHM area. Their salad bar is usually kept the freshest with top notch options from which to choose. The muffins and choc mousse are also big attractions. Can't wait till the next outing that way!”

The traffic on 280 is hard to deal with. And the lunch rush can be a handful. This place makes it easy to grab lunch even during 280 lunch rush. “We used to go to Mt Fuji but to our surprise they were closed on Mondays. We made our way to Kobe and the surprises never stopped. Not only was the food better, the atmosphere was better too. I loved the soup and salad before the meal. The chef was so cool and very entertaining. This will be our new Japanese food favorite. As a bonus they are open on Mondays.”

“Call in for takeout. Noon on Saturday. Bama game was on. Ready within 15 minutes. Service was excellent, fast and friendly. The California Roll was great. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Ripe avocado, crispy cucumber. Excellent knife skills. Sesame chicken was ok. Sauce was a little thin, so the breading got soggy. Flavor was good, but would not order it again. Fried rice was still mostly white, virtually tasteless, and overcooked to the extent that it held the shape of the ice cream scoop they used to plate it until you cut hunks off the dome. Two scoops. Had some egg in it, but nothing else like peas, carrots, onion, bamboo. I am a big fried rice fan, and this failed. Would avoid it next time. Egg roll was the standard frozen egg roll. If you want fast and close, it is average oriental fast food on par with a mall store. If you want quality, drive farther.”

Large fry and a large diet Coke. They said they would have to go to the back and see if had any chicken left. Sign (and their commercials) state $8. Not sure what's up with this location. I never have problems at other locations.”
