“Prices are comparable to other Mexican restaurants in the area. Wide variety of options. I stick to combination dinners when trying new places but beware burrito/enchilada portions are SMALL than other places. Really disappointed considering my family ordered something very close in price and got much larger burritos than I got. Confusing/inconsistent. Salsa was average, kinda watery, not even close to being mild, chips were okay. I don't drink but my parents said the margaritas were good and they have flavors and pitchers which is something other Mexican restaurants in the area don't offer. Service was pretty standard. It was a Friday and being new the place was slammed but it could've been better. Food quality was pretty good overall. Place was kinda loud but again it was packed. Music is nice but the same bass beat repetively thumping was too much. I think a wall in the middle dividing the room could help the atmosphere be more private/less noisy but that's just me. They do things their way, which is different but I'd put this place pretty much in the middle of the road for me. Others may disagree, everyone is entitled to their opinions, check it out and decide for yourself.”

“This place is awesome! Stopped in there for a car show fully prepared to pay to feed the family and unbeknownst to me, they were giving food free to all of the attendees. The owner came around and talked to everyone and was so nice. The staff was fantastic as well. Love everything about this place. This place has a quality that you just don’t find anywhere these days. If you love the small town friendly atmosphere and great food then I highly recommend a visit to this place. I think you’ll love it. It was a little like walking back in time. You seriously don’t see gems like this much these days. Thank you guys for a great time and the meal!”

“Margarita was great! The chunky guacamole was amazing. However the ground beef quesadilla dinner was so greasy. The grease just dropped from the quesadilla when picked up and puddled in the plate. The meat definitely wasn’t drained before playing the meal. Staffing was very short. Our server was very attentive but was only helping out the restaurant that day. Hopefully the food will improve.”

“The place was empty when I walked in, which scared me a little, but the kind lady at the cash register greeted my brother and I and was patient as we chose what to get. The chef in the back gave us a small sample of the SauSy’s sauce and it was really good! Sweet with a little kick. My little brother absolutely loved the fries and his hot wings, though he did say they weren’t hot, still ate them up though. Everyone in there was really kind and the food was better than I thought it would be! Please give it a try and I’ll definitely be back again!”

“Wait staff did an outstanding job when we stopped by this morning. Drink glasses were never empty and they checked on us on a regular basis. Very friendly and professional. My wife had smoked turkey and brisket plate and I had brisket plate. Our sides were Mac and cheese and fries. We both agreed that for the meats, the sliced turkey was the best of the two meats. Extremely moist, cooked perfectly and outstanding flavor. The brisket plate I had, while had a decent flavor lacked any kind of seasoning (salt and pepper) and even though it was a very generous portion, alot of what I had was fat. Not the smoky, seared type but rather internal fat that I would have preferred not to have been there. But that being said, flavor was still decent. Mac and cheese was really creamy and smooth and again, large portion served. I would definitely recommend August's and we will return to try other meats also. Give them a shot!”

“Arrival time 3:50 pm which was great timing because around 4:10 crowds starting showing up. Seated in less than one minute a waitress was at our table in less than 2 mins. Chips and salsa arrived while she took our drink orders. Waitress was extremely friendly and professional as well as knowledgeable of menu. Food was delicious, drinks were well made. Yes service was a tad slow, but waitress had multiple tables and based on conditions, did an exceptional job. No complaints and will definitely be returning.”
