Bistro 17

We had a ladies' night out and met at Bistro 17. The staff was warm & professional and Vincent was wonderful! The homemade meatball with marinara sauce was amazing. The lump crab cakes were interestingly served over mashed potatoes, both which were delicious along with a great vegetable side dish with a terrific red sauce. The atmosphere was intimate and cozy. Everything was perfect for our get together. We loved the drink Vincent recommended with an edible hibiscus flower. We will be returning soon!

We love Tuscaloosa but with food allergies, we are somewhat limited with meal options. On this trip to town, we discovered Bistro 17 and absolutely love it! The chicken tenders were outstanding - and don't miss the thin cut house fries! The chicken was great quality and the breading was superb for gluten free (you wouldn't know if the menu wasn't labeled). Atmosphere was cozy & modern with the lovely exposed brick wall. The staff was friendly and attentive, as well. Thank you for a safe & delicious meal - we will be back on our future trips to Tuscaloosa!

Excellent evening with Vincent (the owner) and Jessica (his wife). My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal and were treated to excellent service and hospitality. Can’t wait to go back soon. The intimate space was perfect for small groups and our food was delicious. We started with the Street Corn appetizer and I had the burger and my wife enjoyed the strawberry salad with chicken. What can I say? The food was hot and fresh and the drinks were ice cold. Cheers 🥂

We celebrated our 18th anniversary with dinner at Bistro 17. We were very pleased with all the gluten-free options on the menu! We got the chicken fingers and fries, after having the fried pickles as an appetizer. We were very impressed with the gluten-free breading on both the pickles and the chicken fingers. The fries were cut in a way that I don’t usually see, and were seasoned and cooked perfectly! The waitress was very friendly and polite. When she found out it was our anniversary, she told the owner, who brought us each a glass of champagne, along with kind words. I highly recommend this restaurant for its food, atmosphere, and service. I will definitely be back!

June 2022: Brand new restaurant on University Blvd! It's quaint. They have comfort food items with a freshly delicious touch. I ordered the creamed collard greens, meatballs, grilled cheese, and finished off with a cheesecake. 🥰

My suggestion is to either get there right when they open or go after the dinner rush (about 8ish). I went right in the midst of dinner and sat at the bar top end, I didn't have a lot of space to take the overhead photos I usually take, but next time. 😁
