Half Shell Oyster House

Raw oysters, oysters baked 3 different ways, redfish, tuna, almond encrusted chicken all delighted us. Oh and the Royal Reds shrimp. All of it was fresh and perfectly prepared. Then bananas foster and bread pudding for dessert were faultless. Sometimes fancy restaurants will try to slip you ordinary coffee but not these guys.

Three of us went for lunch. The food for the most part was very good! The Calamari appetizer was a little overcooked, but still good enough to be totally eaten by 3 of us. The Gorgonzola Cheese on the Calamari was a very tasty addition that I'd never had before. I had the Royal Red Shrimp appetizer, and they were excellent!

The main courses of Fried Shrimp and Fried Oysters were superb! The Oysters were small, but some of the most flavorful I've ever eaten. The side dishes were very good! Cajun Potatoes and Cheese Grits. I ordered a Banana Foster Cheesecake with Sauce to go. OMG!!! It's to die for! It's fantastic!

Great food.. the snapper was awesome... I usually give 4 stars until I’ve visited a few times but the service was outstanding. Oddly the hostess was the only one who didn’t smile but she was actually friendly probably just tired or not bubbly which is fine.. It’s hard to explain but the vibe of this place just makes you feel good. We’ll definitely be back.

I wasn’t really sure what to eat when I checked out the menu. Seth put me on the oyster sampler. Out of all of them my favorite was the Oysters Orleans. I loved the Orleans sauce so much that I looked for something with that same sauce for the main course. I don’t know how to explain just how addictive the sauce is. The Orleans sauce is good enough for me to kidnap and torture the recipe out of the main chef. That good.

Wonderful, our server Chris did an exceptional job and took great care of us. The food was great too. Everything was cooked perfect. The place was clean and you could tell care was taken. I wish it was closer to me, California is a bit to far to drive but if we're ever in the area again we'll be coming back for sure. The drinks were made great too.
