“Dynamite Bop was delicious. They catered to my want for a level 1 sauce instead of level 3. The food was quickly prepared. The place was neat and clean and a nice laid back atmosphere. I wanted to order the Thai Tea but unfortunately they only serve with milk. Hopefully there can be a milk substitute such as coconut milk for lactose intolerant folks. Other than that. I love Top Bop.”

“Wonderful little tucked away spot for Thai in Anchorage. There is no shortage of incredible Thai in this town and this is a place I would highly recommend on the South end. The menu has a very nice sampling of lunch specials. I opted for the Spicy Wide Noodles, which were excellent. The restaurant is immaculate and the decor and music all contribute to the overall atmosphere. All of their art pieces were purchased and shipped over from Thailand. I’m not sure there can be a bad Thai Iced Tea but I really enjoyed their blend, it wasn’t overly sweetened which helped me to enjoy the flavor of the tea. The staff here is phenomenal, so friendly. They are right near the Subway Rink, so plan to go before or after your game. Also, Goodwill has a donation Xpress center right next door so bring items. They’re open between 10:00-7:00 (closed for a half hour at 2:30 for lunch).”

“I stopped by Mochileros outside of Double Shovel, and got the 3 Amigos Tacos by recommendation of Wit. Two of the tacos in the box were phenomenal. But one of them, was literally the best taco I've ever had in my life. I wish I had listened better to what kind of taco it was.. but am 100% willing to buy again to find out lol. Quick and super delicious. If you love tacos like me, you gotta give these guys a try????”

“If you are looking for some great local eats and ale, Firetap is a great choice. Both of the locations provide consistently quality service and food. Their wood fired pizzas are some of the best in town (the Mac and Cheese pizza is awesome), but I personally gravitate towards their sandwiches, which are made from their famous Monk Pretzel. “What a phenomenal example of giving back to the community. They always seem to do the right thing. Both as a restaurant and as a member of the city. I ordered food from them for the first time last night and was instantly blown away. The food was amazing, Portions were great , and the staff was so helpful and nice. The people handling the over the phone orders helped us order to ensure we for enough food to feed everyone and at a fair price. The driver was fast and handled his business in a very professional manner. The way the food was packed prevented spilling and kept the food hot until we were ready to eat. I'll 100% be ordering from them again. Such a great experience”

“We had an awesome experience at South. Our first time. We were looking for a place to celebrate my sister's first time in Alaska. This is the place. Nice semiprivate dining room for special events. We had two of their special cocktails.... The gin and juice and bees knees. Both great. For dinner we shared one tapas...ahi poke and 1.5 pounds of AK King crab. Never had the crab before. We were surprised how each leg was already opened up. Does everyone in AK do this for you? Our server, Cindy, took excellent care of us. She recommended the chocolate mousse for dessert. It was outstanding. All in all a perfect place for a celebratory dinner.”
