Plaza Bonita Mexican Restaurant

A weary travelling party of 11 rolled into Plaza Bonita and were greeted by delicious aromas and welcoming smiles of the staff. The restaurant was clean, cozy and brightly colored.

Guadalupe served us and was so friendly even at the late hour we arrived. The food was great and the margaritas were very tasty. I had enchiladas rojas and, being from Texas, they were different than the Tex-Mex I am accustomed to bit not in a bad way. The flavors were different but excellent and spice was found in other parts of the meal.

My wife had a burrito which was enormous and she loved it. The fajitas were reportedly phenomenal.

Overall this place was great and I'd happily dine here again!

Food****
Surprisingly really good and they have a vegan burrito (ask for no cheese or sour cream). The veggies in the burrito were great and included broccoli surprisingly. The chips were pretty good and the guacamole was delicious. I highly recommend this as a stop if you enjoy Mexican food and remember they do have at least 2-3 vegan options (veggie fajitas too).

Atmosphere****
It was nice with plenty of seating and many booths. We got lucky and got a booth! There’s plenty of outside parking and if you’re staying in Tusayan it’s walkable.

Service***
They forgot the guacamole at first but quickly brought it when we pointed it out. They were very friendly and accommodating.

Wonderful little spot! We stopped here for breakfast after sunrise on the canyon... The service was great, very kind and helpful. The food was delicious and prices were good too. Couldn't have asked for a better meal, great family place

We ordered the shredded beef deluxe burrito and a Mango Patrón Margarita Pitcher! Everything was Absolutely Delicious!!! When I was growing up, there was a favorite little place my family and I used to eat at. The flavors of Plaza Bonita brought me right back!!! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely eat here again! Strong drinks! Highly recommend! All the staff were very attentive!
