“Very weird ambiance and seating rules. Waiter was very nice, but forgot our utensils and napkins. My friend enjoyed her popcorn chicken, and I thought my burger was fine. Overall, nothing to write home about, but not bad like some of the reviews would have you think. It's one of the better restaurants in the area, not that that's saying much.”

“Our favorite meal here is breakfast by far. There is no need for reservations and the food is delicious. The staff in the dining room are fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. They know all about the menu, as well as great info on the canyon. The full bar has great drinks for you to enjoy while waiting for your table at dinner. There is a great wine selection and the food is thoughtfully plated and paired with delicious sides. I highly recommend reservations if you know you will be dining at El Tovar a few days or more in advance. Otherwise, you will need to get to the host stand and line up before 4pm when they take walk-in requests. Dinner seating will start around 4:30 or 5 but in order to get a walk-in table you will have to be early or suffer an hours long wait. If you are staying at the hotel, you can avoid the reservation fuss by ordering room service!”

“Definitely a fun experience to bike around the canyon. If you didn’t bring your bike with you, this is a great place to rent them! We had a rough start to our morning, and were pretty late. They were really nice and let us keep the bikes much later than our reservation time since they weren’t too busy. I will say, if you have young kids and you aren’t 100% confident in their biking skills, just get the tag-a-long bike. You are, after all, biking next to the canyon, and it just makes it a much more pleasant experience not having to worry about the kids falling or keeping up. They provide a great map and estimates of time and effort for each route, though it would have been super great to have that on their website or in the confirmation email. Overall, it was a great experience and would definitely recommend!”

“The pizza hut next to the theater was convinient. The movie "Grand canyon: The hidden secrets" wasn't great. I liked the beautiful IMAX shots of the grand canyon. I was hoping to learn more about the geological history of grand canyon. The movie doesn't talk about this.”

“Honestly, I went in not expecting much for the name and in a tourist town. I was pleasantly surprised. Chicken wings were not the best, but good, I would probably skip the sweet and got sauce and go for traditional next time. The pizza was REALLY good though and forced me to eat too much. The pepperoni was really tasty and the crust was cooked to perfection. The oil from the pepperoni that did make it's way to the pan didn't make the crust soggy or sloppy, it builds is own, which I really like. The order came out very fast for the amount of people in the restaurant. Talking to a couple seated next to us, they said the pasta was great as well.”

“The mint chocolate chip ice cream that I had was very good!! It was creamy with the right amount of mint taste to it. When using a spoon to scope out the ice cream, it comes off as if it was currently whipped up. Kind of like pulling cheese, how there are strings of ice cream as I pull away the spoon. I hope that made sense. Park in the back of the IMAX place, because this place is inside of the building towards the back entrance. I would come back to get ice cream when I visit the Grand Canyon!”

“A cozy place. We arrived when they just opened and it was empty. The service was quick and they treated us very well. There was a woman who spoke Spanish and we understood each other perfectly. We ordered a couple of pizzas and one of them without tomato due to intolerance and both were very good. Without a doubt, a good stop on the way to recharge your batteries.”

“Enjoyed the food. The server was very friendly and attentive. I was impressed with the portion sizes and amount of sides for the price. We are staying for 4 nights, and will most likely come here at least one other time. Definitely recommend, especially for families.”

“We were very pleasantly surprised by this little place. The service was excellent. The menu had options for vegetarians like us. The avocado cheese toast was yummy. We also had the southwestern salad which was delicious.”

“After a day of exploring the park, we decided we were in the mood for a steak so we decided to give this place a try. It definitely has a great southwestern decor. After a brief wait we were seated and of course both ordered steaks. Our server was good although at times seemed to disappear. Our food was brought out nice and hot and both of our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. My mashed potato was wonderful and my g/f enjoyed her vegetables that came as her side. The server when he did drop by was friendly and the pricing wasn't too bad at all. I can see us going here again if we are in the vicinity of the park.”

“A weary travelling party of 11 rolled into Plaza Bonita and were greeted by delicious aromas and welcoming smiles of the staff. The restaurant was clean, cozy and brightly colored. Guadalupe served us and was so friendly even at the late hour we arrived. The food was great and the margaritas were very tasty. I had enchiladas rojas and, being from Texas, they were different than the Tex-Mex I am accustomed to bit not in a bad way. The flavors were different but excellent and spice was found in other parts of the meal. My wife had a burrito which was enormous and she loved it. The fajitas were reportedly phenomenal. Overall this place was great and I'd happily dine here again!”

“Very good food. Pleasant ambiance. Quick and friendly service. I was looking for something a little more upscale than just a greasy spoon and this place did not disappoint. At 1st was a little reluctant because there was no signage and it is inside the hotel but the concierge outside quickly pointed us to where to park and where the restaurant was.”
