We came for the view and were impressed with the food. Crispy chicken wrap was awesome and my French fry connoisseur friend gave the fries a solid thumbs up. Hudson chopped salad was also excellent. We had a short wait for our table and the service was very good. The outside patio is the ultimate, but the bar and indoor restaurant area is also very cool. Add a decent beer selection and incredible views in all directions and this is as good as it gets.
Excellent dining experience!
We were in Sedona for a week and ate lunch at the Hudson three times. Our server Alex made our experience memorable! She was so friendly and went out of her way to take care of us. Ask for her tables! The salads were excellent, nice wine selection and the amazing cherry cobbler dessert kept bringing us back! This is definitely a pleasant environment for casual dining.....highly recommend it!
The food was amazing and service was great. Highly recommended. I would have given 5 stars except the bartender. We went at happy hour and asked if the drink we wanted was part of happy hour. He said he could make it. Then when the bill came he charged the happy hour price for the drink then put a surcharge on the bill for making it.
So eat and drink at your table and avoid the bar.
Wow! Had an enjoyable view and lunch on the veranda. What a great find once you can locate its obscure location on State Route 179. LOL
For lunch I ordered the salmon. Had an amazing start with the roasted corn chowder. Wish I had a bigger bowl of the soup. The salmon was delicious accompanied with roasted vegetables, and a rice medley. It was impeccable... I should have taken a picture of it.
Fine service. Thank you to the staff that was very kind and friendly. I hope to return for another visit.

Waited forever upon arriving - so it felt like - as no one was at the host station to greet guests. Finally sat at the bar having a beer, and started with the corn chowder. It was slightly spicy, and came with no bread and/or butter. Wanting to try something different I ordered the prickly pear BBQ ribs. No substitute for fries without paying an up charge. The coleslaw was not desirable, and the ribs were average. Not impressed with the sauce. It’s not easy when thinking of all the great BBQ I’ve had when living in K.C. The chef may consider reworking the sauce, and not place so much on the ribs. That’s my advice… Maybe another time. Hudson drops from 5 stars to 3. The tip dropped from 20% to 15% too based on service, and quality.
Really, REALLY good. I took one star off because I felt like the service could have been a little more attentive and personable, but, it could just have been a busy lunch rush or a short-staffed situation. At any rate, the food was EXCELLENT. The bruschettas were a great appetizer. Wife's bison burger was delicious (and served with some of the best fries we've ever had. Seriously). I had the butternut squash ravioli, which was fantastic. I would gladly go again.
