“Okay I'm on Brooklyn Pizza Guy and my wife convinced me to try this and I am very happy I did. The pizza was amazing. From the looks of it I thought it was just some pieces of a sub roll with some sauce and cheese on it. I was wrong this was a deep dish style pizza with focaccia taste on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Otherwise it is known as a perfect thick crust pizza. The sauce is homemade ensure taste like it. I have nothing bad to say about this pizza and we'll for sure try it again and recommend you give it a shot. One of the better pizzas I've ever had!”

“Today was my first visit to Haymaker. I am new to town and this location is not far from my house. When I walked in there was bar area seating only so I sat at the bar. The bartender (Nick) greeted me and let me know he would be right with me. There were about 10 people already there. I got my beer and menu and watched. In the next 20 minutes at least 15 more people came in. Nick got extremely busy but didn't miss a beat. He was able to serve everyone without help, kept his cool and still delivered great service. I was amazed! I have managed bars for over 10 years and a guy that can run the show by himself while giving great service is a huge win for Haymaker! The Haymaker Benedict was really good! Great food and Great Service!”

“Went here on a weekend, for a Family member's Birthday. They don't take Reservations, but when I mentioned we would be a party of 8 to 10 people, the Hostess made a notation for that day- very good !We ordered a few appetizers to share amongst our group of 8. The bruschetta is fantastic: the bread is nicely toasted and crisp. The tomatoes, and garlic have a fresh taste, and nicely prepared-very good ! We then ordered 4 different pizzas amongst each pair - and shared and tasted each.”

“First of all they just reopened. They have a limited menu. Two people in our party ordered mushroom burgers. A little while later. They came to our table to inform us that they did not have mushrooms. Okay no worries. We stayed and enjoyed our food and drinks and just being out. When we were ready to leave and pay the bill. I noticed that they CHARGED us for the mushrooms that they DIDN'T have. The amount of the charge was small and not a real big deal. However the service was just okay and if you take the time to tell us what you don't have ..... DON'T charge us for it.”

“We’ve been obsessed with poke bowls for a while now, and were very excited when we realized this restaurant was closer to our home, as we typically drive to bell and 83rd Ave. I waited to post a review until we had tried their bowls several times. Unfortunately we were only ever able to eat take out due to COVID19 so this review is strictly regarding this type of service. We always do our bowls with greens as the base and they are always fresh as is the avocado. The fish portion however has been less then what we’ve grown accustomed to at our other restaurant. Each time we’ve ordered the fish portion would be less and less, even with ordering a medium bowl to try and compensate for what I was used to and yet again it was lacking. This is why we gave 4 stars, maybe dine in portions are different?”

“I've been in here a few times with friends and the food was pleasant. There was a visit where my husband was waiting 40 minutes for burritos. When he went up to ask what was taking long they realized they hadn't put his order in. He decided to take it to go when it finally came up and when he got home (8 minutes later) the food was almost ice cold and he had to throw it in the microwave. He's been in there several times since then with no problem. Lately though when we've been in that shopping center the lights will be on but no one is inside working. We've tried the door during business hours to find it locked. I've heard a rumour that most of the staff quit on the owner. I m not sure if this place is open anymore or if the owner is just cleaning it out or if they're looking for new staff. I hope it comes back, we'd be interested in giving it another try.”

“Great Mexican food! Takes a bit longer because it’s all made fresh, taste homemade. Fish tacos are soooo good!!!!! And multiple salsa types to choose from. Tiny little taco joint, with typical taco joint food (some breakfast stuff, burritos, awesome soups), all done amazingly well. You have to really look hard to find BAD tacos in Phoenix, and you won't find them here! Love this place. Little hole in the wall with great food. Salsa bar is varied and all was fresh and tasty. Health dept happened to be in and they scored very well. One of my new regular lunch time haunts.”

“Surprise fun find returning from Lake Pleasant. Have driven by this place often, the building does not have a sign. The only sign is a small sign along the roadside. The atmosphere is definitely casual with an old west vibe. Glad we stopped this time. This seems to be a local hangout with people greeting each other as they came in. Serves burgers, sandwiches, soup, chili and salads. At the next table, chili was served. Looked and smelled really good, but we had already ordered. Our server, Brigette, was helpful and nice. She said it would take about fifteen minutes because so many came in at once. Enjoyed a crisp salad as we waited. In less than 15 minutes we were served our burgers. Burgers were excellent, juicy, sizzling hot and done just right. They are cash only. Yum!”
