My Mother's Restaurant

Great home cooking. I try and go there when I'm in the area. The homemade pies are wonderful, prime rib sandwich great, meatloaf, salad bar good too. The pies, mmm great, save room, worth it to just buy the whole pie and take home, and don't share!!

I loved this place. I needed some good home style food and I got everything I wanted and to to go on my first try. I cant imagine what it would be like fresh and in restaurant. I will be there and order here again. Great gem of Phoenix.

This is a great place for food. It’s not in the best part of town as it’s been here for years but don’t let that fool you. Try it and you’ll be coming back for more. Known for its fresh roasted turkey but you won’t be disappointed with anything on the menu. The salad bar is small but very fresh. Real home cooking.

The lasagna is amazing!! Always comes hot and fresh with excellent garlic bread.! Again, tastes like something a 'mother' would cook in her kitchen.

The food and pies are always consistent. The waitstaff 'always' remembers the regulars too!

Also they have trivial purist on the tables to play games with friends and family while you eat!!

Only reason for the 4 stars and not 5, they are closed on Sundays!.

1 of Phoenix's hidden gems! Great place for friends, family and to have cooking that mom used to make!! My mom passed several years ago, and I swear this restaurant comes to the closest for me for homecoming mom comfort food!.

This is a hidden gem. The food here is amazing and the service was top notch. They bring you out bread and honey butter after you are seated. It isn't fancy bread or anything. It was warm, soft, and delicious. I ordered the best chicken fried steak I have ever eaten. We had all 3 types of gravy at our table. I am generally not a country gravy kind of gal but I had the chicken fried steak so I had to have. Is like a southern rule. The country gravy was hands down the best. I literally sighed when I took a bite of my meal. I had baked potato on the side. It was cooked to perfect, soft and dare I say, moist.

The servers were attentive but not in a hovering way. Just the right combination.

We don't live anywhere near here and just happened to be in the neighborhood. We will definitely be going back even if we have to make a special trip.
