Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill - Desert Ridge

Good food, good atmosphere... the potato cakes are incredible when they have them! One of the better restaurants in the area for sure. It’s not like the other mediocre chain restaurants in the Gilbert area.

One complaint is they will not let you put your name on the waiting list over the phone. Instead you have to drive there get on the list and waste your time waiting... they could just take names and then if you’re not there when they call your name skip it and go to the next.

It was our first time going, definitely not disappointed. We ordered calamari as an appetizer which very good. I got the roasted pork cubano, spouse ordered the spicy mac and cheese both were very flavorful. Both the cocktail and main menus had a variety of amazing options. Most definitely coming again soon!

First visit here or any Thirsty Lion for that matter. Our server Kimberly was friendly and helped us with our choices. I had the Gastropub burger with small salad which is basically mixed greens, small tomatoes and dressing. The salad was tasty, but the burger ... wow. One of the most flavorful combos I've tasted in some time. The maple pepper bacon was a great ingredient, that's for sure. My associate had the fish and chips and he grumbled a bit when ordering about it being Cod when he prefers Halibut but he managed to put the whole thing down so it couldn't have been awful. I plan to come back and bring the Mrs next time so she can try it out. Besides, Kimberly signed me up for their frequent flyer program so apparently I get $10 off our next visit. I also appreciated her running my payment on a handheld device at the table so my credit card never left my sight.

We had an amazing time here. The atmosphere was beautiful and modern. The food was incredible! We enjoyed every minute we spent. The staff was accommodating to my dog and our server was so kind and brought out water for my dog. We are eager to come back for 2nds! 5 stars!

Second time in and another great experience. They started brunch this week so we went for one brunch item and then our favorite, the fish and chips.
The pork belly hash with italian sausage and eggs(poached for my preference) was a very tasty and executed well. I feel it could have used a bit of acid for balanced but overall quite good.

The fish and chips was spectacular again. The beer batter and fresh herbs in the breading are ridiculous and really are my favorite fish and chips that I’ve had.

Service from Angie and her trainee(sorry for forgetting her name) provided helpful and attentive service.
