I was pleasantly surprised. Decor was open, bright and welcoming. Staff friendly and engaging. Very knowledgeable about menu. My party of five, ordered different entree's, all delicious. Highly recommend. Pricing good. Drink menu awesome. Vegetarian dishes and gluten-free dishes offered also.
Ghost Ranch is an enjoyably different kind of southwest restaurant. The food is amazing, packed with flavor and surprises in each bite! I highly recommend the chilaquiles, they were the stand out dish of the morning!
The staff at Ghost Ranch were very friendly and took time to give us a thorough explanation of the food and how the preparation was unique to their place. They take known recipes and add their own spin to make the dishes new, yet familiar.
The restaurant itself was bright, clean, and decorated in a not overstated southwest style, enough to provide atmosphere and entertainment for my family and my 5 year old.
I will admit, at Ghost Ranch you definitely get what you pay for, and if you don't mind paying for quality (and quantity!) you will be pleasantly surprised. I have to say their fingerling potatoes will knock your socks off, they come packing flavor and fluffy delicious goodness!
Nice, modern space with lots of seating options. Open kitchen and southwest decor. I went for lunch on a weekday and it wasn't too crowded or loud. Service was swift and attentive - but not overly friendly. We ordered the lunch portions of the chicken enchiladas (2) for $14, the steak tacos (3) for $15 and the guacamole/chips/salsa. A little pricey but the chicken enchiladas were delicious. Dry, chewy, tasty - not oversauced or soupy. The red and green salsas were surprisingly greasy but tasted fresh and I appreciated the effort. For sure, the steak in the tacos needed more time on the grill. The meat was super tender but at mid-rare it makes for a bloody, chewy, unappetizing taco bite. I'd like to try some more things on the menu, so I'm sure we'll be back.
Admit it...
“It all starts with chips and salsa!” You’ll know how the rest of the meal will end.
Ghost Ranch honors a historical spin on true Southwest cuisine.
So, Dirty hit this place up and had a Pork Torta. She’s not stopped talking about it.
We shared a sample of cheese stuffed green chilly. Chicken and pork enchilada. With a perfect steak that needed no knife to cut it.
Exceptional hospitality the atmosphere is perfect.
Cheers to the staff and the Chef.
Thank you for bringing back the real Southwest eats.
I wish I could give this place 6 stars. The food is incredible. The drinks are incredible. The staff are pleasant and attentive, but not to the point of being intrusive. I can't adequately express how delicious the food and drinks are - they are a combined sensory experience which completely satisfies, yet also transcends, the sense of taste alone. One of the best kept culinary secrets in Phoenix. But not for long.
