Piazza Gavi

We got carry out from Piazza Gavi which was very tasty. They have a separate door to the right of the main entrance for carry out. All of the staff were wearing masks and had things setup to help social distancing. The portions were very generous.

I haven't experienced this much wonderful Italian food in a very long time. The restaurant is very lovely. It is a modest size, I would recommend making reservations on the weekend. It is inside and outside dining. They also have plenty if parking.
But the FOOD!!!! Wow...everyone ,5 of us, ordered differently. We all tried marshals, lemon &capers, red sauce and a spicy kind of creamy sauce....nothing was below SUPERB! The waiter we had this evening, Alex, was utterly lovely. He was super helpful and took very good care of us.
I would highly suggest giving Piazza Gavi a try for sure!!!

So we came back, with my Dad in tow as he wanted "good old school Italian" and that is exactly what we got! Service was fantastic, much better than our last visit. From start to finish our server made sure we had everything we needed.

We ordered a number of things; all incredibly tasty - Spicy Shrimp appetizer, Cioppino, Scamponi Marsala and my Dad had his favorite... Spaghetti & Meatballs. He compares this dish to a restaurant he and my Mom loved back in San Diego that made the best meatballs. Well, after a couple of bites his face lit up and he said he finally found a place that is as good!

We enjoyed our meal so much and of course capped it off with their amazing Tiramisu. Will be back.

Everything about Piazza Gavi is fantastic. The food is unbelievably good, with large portions. The decor is classy casual. Dress up if you want or wear shorts and a tee shirt. The wait staff are on top of everything without being intrusive. We ordered ice tea, which seemed to take a long time to get, but that was because they were brewing a fresh batch. I highly recommend the experience.

Great place for a nice dinner. Service was great, they don't rush you and give you good advice. We enjoyed the appetizer and the main dish. I'll definitely go back. Outside is decorated nicely and you have a nice view on the mountains.
