“I remember visiting way back in September 2021 and when I pulled up the line wrapped around the building! I was so sad because I didn’t have time to wait before I flew back home. I finally got the chance to swing back around with my friend and it was so worth it! I had the pancake flight and egg whites. She had the French toast, egg whites and chicken sausage. I was so eager to try the blueberry danish pancake and to my surprise the sweet potato pancake was actually my favorite! I never even heard of a sweet potato pancake but I’m glad I tried something new. The funny part is the lady that came in and sat at the table next to me ordered the exact same thing; the pancakes flight and eggs! Alex was very pleasant and seated us as fast as possible and Tony did an amazing job at serving us! I will definitely be back for more sweet potato pancakes.”

“I love poke so I was pretty happy this place opened - first time I went it was a little disjointed but I get it, they were busy. The food was good though. I went back again a few days later got my food to go and realized I forgot a sauce for my husband so I asked for a little cup of it - they weren’t busy at all but the guy I asked acted like it was the biggest inconvenience and after waiting 10 minutes and still being ignored by this guy I just left and never came back. This was months ago and honestly I do feel for them - customer service sucks especially in the food industry - I been there so I’m always super polite and patient and tip 50% when possible but the guy’s rudeness just left a sour taste in my mouth - but tonight I’m really craving some poke and I don’t have the skills to make it at home. Just looked at the google reviews hoping to see that things have changed but apparently not. **I’m not going to blame the employees directly but I am going to say maybe the owners should pay more and provide flexible schedules for the employees so they can enjoy working as much as one can enjoy a forced activity off the necessity to live and in turn customers can enjoy going.”

“Favorite restaurant in Tucson. Best place to get a martini. The food is insanely good, and it's extremely consistent. We go here as often as we can afford to. They have amazing desserts, and some of the best fish that I've ever had anywhere. If you're looking for a place to be a regular, look no further. I'd recommend making a reservation at the bar.”

“Best shrimp egg food young I've ever had. All of the food was delicious.. Would definitely recommend people people get their Chinese food there. My sister had the spicy shrimp dish and is picky about what kind of vegetable she likes. They took a list of like 5 no can do veggies and they accommodated with a smile. The appetizer platter was also huge and fantastic. When I'm in these parts again I will definitely return near the San Xavier mission check it out.”

“Taco Tote is a simple taco spot that serves you the meat and let's you deck it out yourself. They have a salsa bar and endless chips and the wife and I can get out for less than 15 bucks. Love their hot salsa, especially when it's super hot. The mall this is located in is a little shady, with the pawn shop and 99c only store, but haven't ever had a problem.”

“Wow what a great restaurant. Was working in south Tucson & tried this place. Ordered fish fillets in garlic. Only word for this meal was "Magnificent ". 7/8 fillets cooked perfectly. Rice and salad perfect. I opted out of French fries. Amazing meal for $17 bucks. Service was spot on. I'm only sad that I live in phoenix.”

“We came here on a Saturday evening in March. The mesquite grilled chicken was fresh and flavorful. The sides; macaroni salad, pinto beans, and rice were delicious as well. The corn tortillas and salsas were also top-notch and contributed to a terrific meal. The restaurant, restrooms, and tables were very clean. The staff was courteous and eager to please. As a bonus the picnic tables outside the restaurant offered us a beautiful view of the Catalina mountains. For the money, this dining experience was hard to beat. We will be back soon!”

“Came here for the first time to try out the Sonoran hot dogs and tacos. We were hoping for some Taco Tuesday specials but there aren't any which is acceptable. The staff is kind, the food is really good and comes out quickly. They were out of almost all bottled drinks except water. I will probably try it out again in the future.”

“Very diligent and welcoming staff. Everyone was very friendly. Service was moderately fast considering the number of customers. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the shakes. As well as their great selection of burgers with different types of meats and different dietary friendly buns. All in all a great experience that I would recommend to someone looking for a good meal in downtown Tucson.”

“We had a group of 12 friends to celebrate a birthday. It was very busy and crowded. No reservations taken so we took a chance they could serve us. They were opening a second room and already had a large table set up for us within 20 minutes and we were fortunate to get Justin as our server. He totally rocked our whole evening. Several different checks, lots of back and forth drink and snack orders. Justin handled it all with style and Grace and helped make our event smooth as glass. Absolutely the best service ever!!! Drinks were cold, food was hot and tasty. Overall a special evening. We will be more regular customers after this experience. Go support this unique, employee-owned Tucson business. Good menu, good beer, great service!”

“I enjoyed the brunch on the patio here. It used to be a chocolate shop but I like it better as a nice place to grab brunch on 4th. The breakfast burrito was on point, I just could have used more hot sauce with it. Also had a great loaded bloody Mary.”

“I had tried their hanger steak salad for lunch a few weeks ago and have been waiting to come for a weekend nosh with the family. Food is excellent, and be prepared for massive portions. The take home boxes are roomy and high quality, so nothing lost. Ambience is modern rustic, servers are friendly and attentive. Their menu online is their menu at the mo (maybe normally) and features breakfast style brunch and lunch style brunch. Drink options are excellent. Highly recommend and will be back”

“The Monica is a beautiful, fresh, airy, and new restaurant. The menu has excellent healthy food options. There are plenty of seating options, such as; cozy indoor table and chairs, counter, patio tables, and outdoor lounge seating. Food and drinks are ordered at the counter-register, and the staff brings the order to your table. The wait for food and beverages is minimal (10 minutes). The food is hot and delicious. Monica‘s is the beginning of a fresh and new Tucson vibe. Check them out!”
