Four 8 Fried Chicken

We were immediately greeted by the host, a pleasant young man who provided menus and ushered us to a booth. It was an open air day and we timed our visit between lunch and dinner. Plenty of street parking, with free public parking within 3-5 minutes. Sapphire quickly provided waters while we studied the menu. We had a mead flight, consisting of four 2 ounce samples. We both chose the Classic Chicken sandwich on a sweet Hawaiian bun, she had the potato salad and I enjoyed green beans with bacon. The chicken was lightly breaded, moist and very, very tasty. This is their mildly spiced chicken with just a little heat kick after a few bites. The chicken was thick, so we devoured the sandwich with our knives and forks. Their sandwiches feature house cole slaw, lettuce and tomato slices topped with aloe Mayo. We’ll definitely be back, and maybe step-up the heat. The dill pickle slice helped with the mild heat. The meal and beverages under $40. Great Main Street view, and very attentive staff. Winner!

We’ve since returned for takeout on two occasions, and each time the we’ve been less impressed. Hoping this was just a fluke, our second takeout order the chicken was burnt and not plump and moist as our first, in restaurant experience AND review. So, I think I’d save my money and visit KFC.

Leslie was awesome. She told us all about the different meads that they have on sale. We got a flight of four flavors. The original, the sparkling Mead, the bergamot and the star Jasmine were the choices. The appetizer was called spiced duros de harina. It was kinda like a pork rind but made out of flour. It was delicious, we ate the whole basket. I asked my partner to describe the chicken right she took a bit. "The chicken was mildly spicy... mild just... I wouldn't even call it spicy. I would call it...It has a little bit of heat, but it's like you've got to do the pairing with the Mead. The flight of four Meads enhances the chicken and the chicken enhances the meads."

I thought it was the best chicken I've ever eaten.

Don't forget to try the gelato for dessert.

By far most amazing chicken in the Sedona/ Cottonwood area. FRESH ingredients in all 6 of the sides we tried. Lana was our server- more than accommodating. Highly recommended. I’ve lived here for 15 years. No place has been this great across the board.

Visited on a Thursday night and everything was on par! Will visit again.

We ordered a two piece chicken, a 4 wing chicken, waffles, Mac and cheese, cornbread, and hush puppies. They gave us each a good sample of mead, which led us to order a flight of 4 mead flavors.
And there is a free appetizer while you wait for your food/drink!

Service was attentive.
Food was hot and not too spicy (might be spicy for some), the chicken was cooked correctly, unlike some of the reviews about the quality, and the waffles and sides are delicious!

We did notice that the server forgot to ask/provide sauce for one of our orders, but she corrected that after serving the food.

We wish the sauces were listed on the menu, and wish that syrup was offered if we wanted chicken and waffles... but have no complaints about anything else.
