Merkin Vineyards Tasting Room & Osteria

The food is excellent - hence why we drive to Cottonwood just for this experience. My favorite dish is the Gnocchi and it pairs very nicely with the Queen B Hard Cider. All of the food items are grown and/or sourced locally and the restaurant itself is a perfect example of Sustainable Tourism. The staff here is friendly and the menu items are reasonably priced.

Our Arizona trips are planned around eating at Merkin. Hands down my favorite restaurant. If you have the opportunity to eat here, do it. Everything is phenomenal. The gnocchi is my go-to and I loved the seasonal butternut squash and sage lasagna cupcake when it was on the menu. Quit reading reviews and just choose Merkin.

Stopped in here last weekend and the food was amazing. We had been wine tasting around town and really wanted some food and stopped in here. We had the gnocchi and it was amazing and so was the bread. Then started to read about the place and how the pasta and bread are all homemade and man could you tell. Can’t wait to come back and have another meal. Service was very good. Great decor too.

Tough to rate this place. As a restaurant it was very, very good. We had the gnocchi and the daily special. Superb pasta with equally superb service. The wines however were not. We each had different flights of wine and each a glass with dinner. In general, Arizona wines have come along way, but not far enough. Sorta like where Virginia wines were 30 years ago. Will continue to watch and taste the wines but the real reason to return to this place is the food and the outstanding service

This place was on my bucket list and was so happy to finally enjoy it. I will say, as someone with Alpha Gal and for anyone else who has it, I ordered the mac n cheese not realizing it has ham in it! So be careful. It wasn't listed as part of the ingredients and I ended up having a pretty gnarly reaction from it. I'm still giving 5 stars because that was my responsibility to ask questions about preparation and ingredients and I didn't. However, it was SO delicious. The wine was good but man that mac n cheese was great. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and kind.
