We stayed in the Whitewater cabin, which had a native stone exterior with white trim and cheerful yellow door. Very cute! The interior was very clean but definitely showed the true age of the cabin - the more recent renovations seemed hasty and did not cover the cracks and imperfections. The bathroom was smaller than it looked in the pictures, but we made do. Also, the homemade bed frame was a bit too large for the queen mattress and protruded quite a bit, and I barked my shins a few times getting into bed. The room had very cold AC, which was a welcome respite from the record heat, and heavy curtains blocked out most of the sunlight for an afternoon nap. In terms of service, the staff and housekeeper were all very friendly and accomodating.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, especially with the adjoining Gravel Bar next door. If you do stay here, just temper your expectations on room appearance, as it is a very old place (almost 100 years, I believe). We will definitely be back.
One more note: the Whitewater cabin is just feet away from Hwy 62, so you can hear every motorcycle with loud pipes come roaring by in the night. If noise bothers you, I would suggest a motel room instead of a cabin, as the main motel sits much further back from the road.
We love the Wanderoo! It was my second trip back, and just like the first, everything was wonderful. The room was affordable and super clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was clean. The food over at the Gravel Bar was delicious, and there was entertainment each night we stayed! The staff is also kind and helpful. I recommend this place to all my friends who travel to Eureka Springs, and we’ll be back just as soon as we can! Thanks, Wanderoo Lodge!
Super cute, clean, affordable, great service, friendly, great place to relax, breathe and have fun! The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, nice balcony overlooking pool and wooded area. Fairly quiet especially considering they were sold out. The on-site restaurant/bar/registration desk is staffed by friendly knowledgeable people that make you feel like welcomed family. The food is delicious! And offers a wide variety of options. There is something for everyone. As a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised to be able to have choices other than a salad. On Fridays and Saturdays they have live music in the evening on the outdoor deck. We were treated to an amazing performance! Great talent.
On site they also have kayak and SUP excursions. We were shuttled to the white river and enjoyed a beautiful and fun trip down the river. Our trip was 2 days and so relaxing and fun. We can't wait to return. Thanks Wanderoo!
We loved our stay at the Wanderoo! My hubby and I came with our pup to stay in the Outfitter cabin for our anniversary and it was extraordinary. We had privacy, as well as the ability to socialize and hear the live music from our cute little balcony. The fire pit was awesome also, as we were able to meet new people and enjoy the beautiful evenings. The pool was also amazing. All around it was fantastic, and we will definitely be back! ❤️
Staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. The room wasn't fancy, but it was comfortable and clean. Furnishings were practical and utilitarian, but the king size bed was fantastic. One of the best night's sleep I've ever had. Very nice walk in shower with lots of hot water. Reasonably priced and centrally located in town. I recommend the Wanderoo Lodge if you are looking for uniqueness and comfort in a relaxed environment. I will be back!
