(May 3, 2023, 12:59 am)Our waitress was sweet and amazing! Super cozy and happy atmosphere, clean tables and DELICIOUS food! Absolutely the BEST fried fish EVER!!! We bought 2 half pies, one half was peanut butter and the other half was chocolate 5 layer. Yummy!!! Generous portions. Run don't walk to Fred's Fish House for the best food experience in Thayer, MO!!!

(March 16, 2023, 12:02 am)Tammy offered me the special: 4 pieces of fish (which was sooo delicious and not overly battered but thinly and crispy), 2 hush puppies, fries, and Cole slaw for a very low affordable price. Great deal and recommendation.

(February 18, 2023, 3:34 pm)The service was terrific. I highly recommend the small catfish dinner. It was delicious. And those hush puppies!! They were amazing. Oh and save room for dessert. The peanut butter pie was to die for!!!

(October 29, 2021, 9:25 pm)Mixed review, waiting a while for our food, even others around us who came in after got theirs. Waitress was friendly and that help out at least. The main saving grace was the food was delicious so that a huge plus. May try again next time in the area.
