Came here with a friend that said this place is pretty good. I had the turkey. I enjoyed how it fell apart easily with my fork and it was easy to chew. The BBQ sauce was good with it. The beans I had with my turkey were good too. The staff were all very nice as they chatted with us when they weren't helping other customers. Shorty wasn't there but they did call him over when we asked if he was around. He sat and talked with is for the duration of our meal. I'd go here again if in the area so I could try out some different meats and see how well each one is. I'd recommend coming in at least one to try out your favorite BBQ meat. I ended up trying out the cherry cobbler for desert even though cherry isn't a fruit I care much for. It's actually pretty darn good and I'd recommend trying it too.
Food was average for bbq. The ribs were cooked in foil and did not have the good smoke on them. Brisket was cut thin I think because it was not smoked like a normal bbq brisket, maybe cooked in foil in an oven. Sides were homemade so that was good.
Had a great visit to Shorty's Rib Shack. Came down to watch "Randy Santel and Brandon Da Garbage Disposal Clark" thanks for hosting them. My daughter and I got the sampler platters, a 1/2 rack of ribs and cole slaw. The smoked meats were great, all juicy and mouth watering, very tender. Thanks Shorty and staff.
Very good food. Everyone in our party of 4 got something different. We were all very satisfied.
