“I've been wanting to drop in here for a long time and I wasn't disappointed when I finally did. The small catfish lunch had enough food for two grown men including delicious fried catfish, okra and french fries with homemade tartar sauce and green tomato relish. It took just a little longer than I would have liked to receive my order when I was ready to go. But I won't hold that against them because the food was hot, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend”

“I now live in North Carolina. Country Village is literally the only thing that I miss about Arkansas. My children and I used to go there on the weekends. We would stop by a thrift shop that was called Evelyn and Anne's ( don't know if they are still in Star City) then we would head for Country Village and window shop. Go to Country Village Bar b Q. Then to the Country Village Bakery for our dessert. We would always get 2 of their cheese breads one was bound to get snacked on on the way back home to Dumas. Then to the Village Sweet Shoppe for treats! It is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday. Just make sure that your bag is on point because you will spend a bit of money to have a good time. But it is worth every penny. I mean every single penny, you won't regret it!!! God I miss that place. My kids even talk about it sometimes.”

It was loud but that's to be expected at a packed restaurant. Highly suggest to call in reservations and eat at the time of opening. After you can walk & enjoy the rest of what the Country Village has to offer. I have been coming here for about 30 years. And it just gets better every time I visit. Bring an appetite! Lol”
