“One of my favorite places to eat at when I’m around the Hillcrest area showing houses. I’m one of those; once you find your go to plate, I won’t try anything different. With that being said, the Cuban Burrito or Nachos are delicious! Ingredients are so fresh and they give big portions. Probably the best burrito and nachos in all of Central Arkansas. I have brought my family from out of town, any time they come to visit they always make a stop. Have to give credit to this awesome establishment. “My family and I went to Damgoode Pies on 5/15/2022. We walked in and let them know we needed a table for nine. They reluctantly said they have no wait staff, and only two employees working, so we would have to wait in ourselves. That was perfectly fine, so we grabbed a couple of tables and moved them together, then went to the bar to place an order for drinks and appetizers. We ordered Fred Bread, and it came out quickly and perfectly. After the rest of my family arrived, I wrote down our order and went to the bar to place it. I ordered a 1 large The Greek stuffy with red sauce, 1 large Classic Pepperoni stuffy with red sauce, 1 10 inch Chicken Supreme with red sauce, a 10 inch Hand tossed BBQ chicken, and cheese sticks for my 10 month old granddaughter. They came out to the table to let us know that there is minced garlic on the cheese sticks, and asked if we wanted the garlic omitted since it was for the baby. Mama said garlic is good, but please slice the cheese sticks very small. Next thing I know, the cheese sticks were ready, and the baby went to town on them. She couldn’t eat the whole thing, so a few of us helped a little. The cheese sticks were perfect. I told them to yell when the pizzas were ready, because I would go get them and bring them to our table. He thanked me . But he didn’t yell. I just happened to glance up and see the pizzas being sliced and set on the counter to be brought to the table, so I jumped up to help. He made sure I didn’t burn myself on the pans. I only had The Greek, because that’s my favorite, but every single person said the pizzas were amazing. I know The Greek was phenomenal. I’m glad I got the large so I can have leftovers, which I will not share. They came to ask if we needed boxes, and I met him at the counter so he didn’t have to bring them out. I bussed our table, putting the waste in the trash and handing the plates and pizza pans to him. My husband moved the tables back and I put the high chair back. They thanked us for helping out so much. But that pizza was so good, I swear it was one of the best Damgoode Pies I’ve had. Check out these pictures. Cheesy perfection. “We ordered a burger, turkey club, and a shrimp basket. Everything was good and it was really cool to watch the trains delivering food and just circling the Cafe. Only 1 person up front when we were there to answer phones, take orders, and do some lite cleaning, but he was very friendly. If you have a small child that likes trains they would absolutely love this experience as you grab a quick bite to eat. And the prices were very reasonable.”

“Solid BBQ! Came with a good amount! I loved the potatoe salad!! The sausages were delicious also! This was my first time here so I went in with no expectation and it met my BBQ needs! “Finally got a chance to try Slim chickens and the name speaks for itself! I ordered the chicken and waffles and my lady ordered the chicken sandwich. Checked out the bathroom and it was clean and smelled great. The service was awesome and it didn't take long to get our food. The first thing you notice is the portions of the chicken were as they say umm slim. I know that flavor is the key so I'm not dissatisfied yet. To my surprise that slim chicken on that waffle was amazing and juicy for the portion size. My lady's Sammy was another thing because it was more like a slider compared to the other chicken sammys out here but it was tasty. We liked the flavors and we can feel what Slims is putting down so we will definitely come back when the craving hits.”

“This place is so delicious... My first time eating here was Wednesday, I had the pork chop meal wich came with to chops, beans that had onion and ham bits, rice, and salad. I also order empanadas the beef was my favorite the chiken was good to it had an automatic taste and i had some tamales that was moist and flavorful.I Loved it so much so I had it agian today (Friday). I orderd the skewers wich has a breaded like plantain on top that is to die for i wish i would have gotten a dozen of those. I also orderd the tamales again and i orderd the jabavito steak. I love love that. The portions are so great and service is awsome.”

“I drive by this food trailer every day and had a craving for BBQ. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with green beans and coleslaw. The second order was ribs with mac and cheese and potato salad. The pulled pork sandwich even though it had a bun would be almost impossible to eat as a sandwich. There was a huge mountain of tender juicy pork topped with sweet sauce. The coleslaw was delicious and homemade the green beans with bacon were also very tasty. The ribs had a nice smoke flavor and had just the right texture and chew. The two sides were pretty good too. The lady at the window that took my order was very nice and friendly. For my next BBQ craving I will try the smoked turkey leg or maybe ask what a stuffed turkey leg is. I definitely recommend stopping by and trying out some of these food items. I have about four million views of my review photos and have about 450 or so reviews. I have no idea what this person with 2 reviews got stuck in her craw but she’s pretty wrong on this place.”

“Pros; reasonable prices, fresh food, good options for most people to find something that appeals to them. The banh mi and shrimp vermicelli bowl were excellent. Cons; I think that mikes place is just a touch better but they are pretty close. I’m not a fan of the credit card fee’s. I know they aren’t a chain, but I think it’s kinda a bad look. There was disorganized when checking out, had to wait almost 10 minutes. I’d still come back again, the food is good! The other parts weren’t perfectly however.”

“I've been here 3 times now and everything's been good every time. It's a bit more expensive than other Chinese buffets but I believe it's worth it. They have mostly different dishes than Chinese places and in this case, different is good. The hibachi chicken was a bit dry but otherwise no other complaints. They have an extensive selection of sushi as well and their servers seem to be really attentive with frequent checks on your well-being. Definitely worth a visit.”

“We were in the mood for burgers and this fit the bill (we did not want McDonalds or Burger King). We had never heard of this local chain before, but it got good reviews on Google Maps. We ate around noon. There was no wait, but we got there at the right time as there was continuous traffic the whole time we were there (inside and drive through). We were greeted immediately by a friendly employee. We had a bacon cheddar burger and a black jack chicken club. Both were hot & tasty and a good size. We both had fries which were good too. “I’ve been to the other location, so I was expecting the same quality of food and service. The server, Jasmine, was very nice, and she took care of us. However, the food was half and half. I ordered a shrimp basket in the shrimp was cooked golden brown and tastes very good. But when he came to the catfish, that was something else. You could tell it was cooked in old grease because it was very dark and two of my friends had the same thing and we all said it had the same taste in common: SALTY!! Omg it was extremely salty as soon as you’ve been into it. Someone who has blood pressure issues would definitely be in trouble if they ate that. There was a white, older lady with glasses (who claimed she was the manager) that came and told one of my friends that she could not give her a refund and she could not pick something else off of the menu, but the only thing she could do was have the same exact thing remade. That was very sketchy to me, because any restaurant that I have gone to, if someone isn’t satisfied with what they ordered, they are typically offered either a refund or a selection of some thing else on the menu. So, when our server came back, I asked her if that was true, that my friend could only get the same exact thing remade, and she said that was not true. The lady claimed she was the manager and we didn’t get her name but I feel that was very poor customer service for the hospitality industry. To be told that you cannot have a refund for something that was not prepared to your liking is not something I would imagine anybody wants to hear. I would be very upset. If I am basically being told that my hard earned money is not going to be given back to me. One of my other friends also had to ask for her crab to be replaced because the crab she had was old and you could visibly see it. Overall, I don’t know if I would go back to this location. I went to the location on University and had no issues with the food nor service. If you do, choose to go here, please take into consideration that this particular lady is not willing to replace an item or refund you your money if it is not prepared properly and this is no fault of your own.”

“Excellent customer service and great food. My son's first-grade class had a holiday party that incorporated Nigerian food. I ordered a pan of "puff puffs." Their staff was so kind to deliver them to my son's school just in time for their party. The puffs were hot, fresh, and really good. There were students and parents in the classroom who tried them and they never had African food and they really enjoyed it and have planned to visit. Thank you so much everything was delicious. “Second time here post comic-con with our boys. Second time I’m impressed! Great food and honestly I love the fact this traditional food restaurant has heavy metal playing over the speaker. Absolutely love this place and the ambiance and love the food! Had the pork steamed buns and dumplings for appetizers. Both were excellent. And the curry ramen bowl is both delicious and super filling! I’m a grown man with grown man appetite and I can’t even finish the bowl. Also tried the peach Korean “wine” which is very reminiscent of a peach flavored vodka that packs a punch! Don’t sip. Shoot it. The flavors blend best that way. Overall great experience! Chefs did amazing! Wait staff was great! Love this place!! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great ramen spot!”
