U.S Pizza Co. - McCain

Really good food as always, and great service. It is unfortunate as of July 2023 they have removed baked Anaheim peppers off their menu. (I ate this as a alternative to stuffie stix with extra carbs). And it seems their portions have gone a little smaller, atleast in a salad, but I guess that's the biden economy for you. Overall, great food still.

It's always a great place to eat. We usually get the lunch special (salad and pizza or sandwich). The house dressing is so good. It's almost like ranch, but not. The scrappy is really good.

I usually don't review if it's going to be negative, but part of my disappointment is from coming here based on an old article saying this was amongst the best pizza in the state, so I want to save anyone else from falling into that trap.
And to be fair, the service was great, we had an excellent server.
The pizza crust smelled and tasted like saltine crackers. The sauce was mediocre at best. The fresh basil on my wife's pizza was actually dried basil and the mushrooms were from a can.
The stuffy sticks were good, but we both ate just a single piece from our pizzas, took the rest to go, and threw it away when we got home. So overall, it's probably not too bad if you don't have really high expectations, and the salads at the next table looked good, but we were really disappointed.

Decided to stop in since I was in town, having read an article about the best pizza in each state, I was not disappointed. I tried the Philly steak pizza which was pretty tasty; the cheese sauce added an extra layer of flavor. But even better than the pizza was the service! Our waiter, Antonio, was a super star! He was the right amount of attentiveness, we never had to request a thing, he was on it!
The place was a little hard to spot from the road but I would certainly recommend giving them a try.
