Top restaurant in Saline County. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in central Arkansas. Italy in Town got a new Chef at the beginning of the year and the menu is fantastic. Their specials are amazing. Tonight I had blackened salmon in lobster sauce topped with four shrimp. The sides were sautéed veggies (yum because cooked perfectly) and delicious mashed potatoes. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a good seared crust. You have got to try this restaurant. The wait staff is kind, friendly and attentive. Love this white table cloth restaurant.
Some of the best Italian food I’ve had!
It’s a very cozy and small dining space. I took my family here, a thing to know is that they do not have a kids menu. Though on some dishes they do offer half plates.
Our server was very attentive, friendly, and prompt.
Everything all 4 of us had was excellent! I loved that spicy arrabiata sauce with shrimp. The calamari appetizer was also crispy and tasted great!
As far as cons, it feels just a touch pretentious. Not in your face, but it was noticeable.
All in all, I’ll definitely come back! I highly recommend you give it a try, there wasn’t a bad thing I tasted!
Visiting family in town and so glad we got to visit this great restaurant! I think we each ordered something different so we could try each other's dinner. Everything was great! Good and friendly service. They were working hard on a Saturday night with limited staff. Don't think twice... just go!
I always love eating at Italy in Town. The owner/chef Chico, is always adding new things to the menu, but the classic authentic favorites are there too. This is a great intimate place to meet friends or have a date.
It's.. ok. The place looks exquisite and the atmosphere was just what you expect out of an Italian restaurant. The prices are a tad bit high for what you get - portion to price. I ordered the spaghetti chitarra at $16.75 and my wife had the penne arrabiata. They give you a side of bread with pesto that comes with the meals. The pasta tasted like it was missing something as in spices. The noodles seemed overcooked but still tasty with the mushroom and cheese. Would I come back? Sure, I'll always give something a second try but, it would have to be a day when I am really craving Italian.
