The cocktails are delicious; our bartender was really friendly and super quick on the draw; the food was really freaking good (though the pizza felt a bit off).

Overall, great experience! I'll be back.

It's a cafe! It's a restaurant! It's a bar! Great new downtown venue near cinemas and CVS. Portions are average but flavor & freshness above average. Pleasantly surprised and will be back for another citrus-salty Winter Salad.

Some interesting ideas but mixed success in their implementation. Arugula and date salad was the highlight: bland-looking on paper but a perfectly balanced and surprisingly tasty execution in practice. The "squid" pizza felt slapdash: covered liberally in slightly overcooked baby octopus, and surrounded with a slightly overcooked crust, bites were alternately tasty and dull. The ziti pasta had a great texture but the spinach was poorly seasoned and ultimately the dish couldn't escape its humble comfort-food roots. Lemon pie dessert suffered from a too-hard crust and too-creamy filling, but was almost rescued by the delicious berry accoutrement.

I went Saturday with some friends and I am going back tonight with my wife. Exceptional service, space, and food. Try it you'll love it.

You won't find any "old standards" here. An ordinary-looking egg is completely transformed by the delicate presence of tuna. Tokyo turnips cooked with short ribs are as rich as meat. A pizza dappled in buttery, homemade sausage is surprisingly light in the hand and on the tongue. The food engages all of the senses, while somehow still managing never to lose its focus or disappoint the tongue.
