The Halal Guys Berkeley

Loved this place in NYC and glad they're here now. Be aware that the hot sauce is ridiculously hot.

The food itself is good, just like Halal guys in New York -- but the protein is a bit more dry at this location. But this location is inconsistent in the amount of food they give you, sometimes giving you very little protein. And the workers are inconsistent too -- sometimes you'll get someone who is really nice/happy and sometimes you get people who don't give a sh*t about what they're doing.

I really enjoyed the food and the workers. Came back the next day. And will come again.

I was very satisfied with my first meal here. I ended up getting the combo chicken/halal bowl, but will probably go for the falafel next time. The house sauce is tasty and the spicy sauce definitely lives up to it's name!

Amazing platters at decent prices. Their sauces are especially good, with the hot one being particularly spicy and the white one very tasty. Good amount of seating, and ordering to go is still very good too. One of the best places to eat in Berkeley by far.
