Champion's CURRY

This is one of the best japanese curry that I've had in the bay. We went back to try the fish curry (not in this pic) and it was the best. All the other options are amazing as well!

The curry dish I ordered was of a Japanese-style, and it contained some diced beef with a predominantly salty taste. I drank several glasses of water to counteract the saltiness. I ordered the curry pork dish, which had a crunchy exterior and a tender interior. The accompanying side dish was diced tomatoes. The price for the meal was around $15, with a self-service checkout system and no option for leaving a tip. The fries served with the dish were standard and did not have any standout features.

I got the chicken curry which was about $17. It was good, but I wouldn’t get it again. The chicken was nice and tender though. I wasn’t that impressed for the price so I probably won’t come back.

So glad this is open in Berkeley! We’ve tried their curry and sandwiches and have loved both! We even came here twice in one week (during their soft opening)! Curry flavor and katsu quality are top notch!

Great curry and the perfect spice level if you like spice that will make your nose run but not punish you! I'm coming back!
