Small bubble tea and dessert shop. Seems like it's a chain. Service was fine and drinks were standard. It was really crowded though and a little hard to figure out how who was in line and who was waiting for drinks. We had to cut through the crowd to get our drinks.
Located in Chinatown where parking is a pain. Not much foot traffic. No self-ordering terminal but the service is otherwise decent. Dine in space is narrow and not very welcoming but otherwise clean.
Their signature hot grass jelly does not have much of the herbal flavor so it ends up being more like flavored water.
Next time will just go to another location.
Came for the Taiwanese style shave ice and was not disappointed. We shared the mango shave ice and one that had various mochi and custards. Both were deliciously covered in condensed milk, had tons of toppings, and were towering. Would definitely come back but they're share size so will need to bring friends.
For the rest of year I'm assign to east bay media support working remotely has become a natural thing for me. MF has been one of the longest up and coming places on my list stretching back 18 months. They just recently open serving asian desserts and drinks. Although not as big as Serramonte they still can get it going. Not much seating in front the back would be better option for larger groups. What to do? You order and pay receive a coaster style pager then grab your tray a find a place to sit. Jelly noodle shaved ice is refreshing good portion and balance provide more than a day's worth of sweet intake and calories. Everyone should give this place a try even if its your first time trying asian desserts.
The shaved ice was way too chunky. You really have to chew it, shaved ice should be finer so it melts in your mouth. It is a pretty big portion but I would prefer a smaller portion with more flavorful ice. The taro and mochi were good. Also got the tofu with mini taro balls. The tofu texture wasn't the best and it wasn't that flavorful.
