This place? No one wouldn't know what this place is in Oakland. This place is known as good milk tea, its taste may not be as close to as Hong Kong style, but it tastes better than any places that I have tried in the Bay Area. Well... the food and the service are decent. Although the performance of the cook is inconsistent at times, especially over cooked pork chop and it became chewy as beef jerky. It is still a decent to be in Chinatown.
Ordered baked pork chops rice and white sauce seafood spaghetti. However, the white sauce is quite diluted.
Best curry chicken with fried rice. True Hong Kong cafe style. Food always tastey and flavor never change. Best red bean ice milk drink. Love the waitress. I love the shirmp toast.
One of my favourite cafe shop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Same owners for 20 years. Same menu. Delicious
One of the few remaining HK Style Cafe in Oakland and a decent one. Their baked dishes can take a while (the waitress said 20 to 30 minutes) and that's because they really put it in the oven and not in the microwave. We opted for their iron platters and it's one of the best values out there. Tthey come with a drink (coffee or tea), warm dinner roll, vegetable soup and either rice or spaghetti with their main entree.
Note that this place is cash only and the staff here are mostly Cantonese speakers. They're open until about 9:00PM . Place is pretty spacious and clean for the most part.
