Starbucks

Starbucks is always a great place when you're enjoying hot chocolate and lemon loaf

The two baristas working there today were really cool. I didn't get their names but it was around 2:30 and they helped me with directions to where I needed to go and offered to charge my phone in the back.

Also, the ham and cheese croissant, the birthday cake pop, and peach green tea were all pretty good and the line moves fast.

Nice Starbucks on the border of Chinatown and Old Downtown Oakland. There is a decent amount of seating if you want to hangout and work. If you've been to one Starbucks, you've been to them all.

The store is fairly clean, but it's not laid out well. Having several people in here makes it seem crowded.

The staff is very unengaged. They don't seem overly happy and it shows in their service levels.

I would recommend getting a fresh manager in here to clean the place up and get the team motivated again. Also, it would be great to get a remodel or even a refresh to fix the flow.

The quality of service at this location is exceptional. They prepared a Chemex pour-over for me. It's the only location that I've found that has no problem with it. It probably helped that the barista knew how to make it properly. Thanks Marc!
