Duck down a set of stairs, weave through a narrow food court, wipe off the counter with a napkin, get a plate of magic. These dumplings are divine. My favorite is the pork and dill which not only beats out all the shumai / Asian dumplings I've ever had but also the Polish and Russian soup/steamed dumplings through Queens and Broolyn! The cold brisket is also nice and is an easy way to add a little variety to your plate. They also have a number of other veg. and meat. sides.
I love this authentic hole-in-the-wall spot in Chinatown. They have a wonderfully delicious savory egg crepe with yummy spicy sauce and a donut inside (protip: order extra sauce). It's my new favorite quick breakfast in Oakland ($6 cash or Venmo)! I can't wait to try the dumpling soup.
Amazing savory crepe with who-knows-what fried vegetables inside. Cheap and fast service. Definitely going again.
This window shop with a couple of outdoor tables is easy to miss. Shop is really by a husband and wife team. I usually grab this as take out. When I'm sad about is they no longer have dumplings. Usually I'll get a tian jin pancake roll and an order of steam dumplings.
Service was great. The Jian Bing and wonton soup were delicious. I only wish they were a restaurant and not a street stand.
