(January 30, 2019, 2:21 am)Norman, the head man, is am excellent chef, with am artistic flare! Sitting at the bar is my favorite, and they have a traditional Japanese table for 4 you are welcome to use. When given a choice of where I want to go, I ALWAYS choose Tsuru!

(January 11, 2019, 6:00 am)Delicious food served by lovely people. I had my 2 grandchildren visiting from the UK who had Udon and I had a salmon bento box. This is a very nice family restaurant with a bar to watch them make your sushi if you like also besides table service.

(December 8, 2018, 10:25 pm)Tsuru Sushi is by far the best sushi restaurent in San Leandro. I have the honor to watch the owner pick up a shipment of fresh live lobster, crab, and geoducks from a local seafood company. I ask him if those seafood are wild ethicaly caught? The delivery man just smile and show me a picture of him with the local fishman at pier 45 where the sea food came from. I tried the SUPER 14 handroll with shimps and a secret sauce and Tuna. All the fish is super fresh and teastie!! Highly recommend for sushi lovers ????
