“I happened to walk by and noticed that they had Indian spice flavored pizzas and I had to try it! The guy at the register (owner I think) was very nice and friendly and helped me pick the pizza I actually really enjoyed! “I would like to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to Ernesto who works at the meat counter at Lucky’s Alameda. A few days before Christmas, I came in to Lucky’s to order my prime rib for my Christmas dinner like I have been for the past 10 years. I didn’t recognize the employee at the meat counter, but I still continued to place my order with him. He handed me a notebook to put in all my info and the size of my prime rib. The employee checked it and said ok, your order will be ready to be picked up as you indicated here. I was happy and went on my way. Longer story short, Ernesto, out of the kindness of his heart and the greatest meat counter employee Lucky’s will ever have kept trying to contact me to tell me that they didn’t have any more prime ribs and was not getting anymore in and the other guy should have told me this. Anyway, Ernesto, being the gentleman that he is and passionate about his awesome customer service, got me my prime rib from another Lucky’s on his way into work that Saturday morning. He called me to tell me he had it and when I was ready to come pick it up. Ernesto saved my Christmas dinner for my entire family! Lucky’s Alameda is LUCKY to have Ernesto at their meat counter! Granted, I ordered this at 7:45 at night But Hey, don't send me over cooked chicken. It took me a while to figure out whether or not the garlic mashed potatoes were fresh or pre mixed. Pretty sure they were pre mixed. With lots of garlic in it. In the end the taste was good. The baked beans were over the top wonderful and that's where the 4 stars came from.oh and the bread was AWESOME!!!! “Wow what a surprise. Most Lucky's are kind of lower end stores. Not this one. Selection is fantastic and they have an impressive selection of food ready to eat for lunch. They have a special beer section that is a whole walk in refrigerated area with craft beers. A huge wine area, not the usual supermarket stuff. They even have delicacies like Panettone that is a beloved northern Italian Christmas cake. You can have your new your strip or prime rib dry aged to your specification (I believe 28 to 60 days) for a price that, after all, is very competitive. I was really impressed and any time I'm in Pleasanton I'll make sure to visit this place. The only problem is that... All of the above higher end experience is somewhat ruined by the ugly looking cracked concrete floors. Surely there must be a process during polishing where they can fix them instead of showing all the cracks? Incredible.”

Well, the lady told me that they had just dropped a batch and that they would be ready when I got there. Dad was happy, Mom was happy; so I am happy! Before I left, I saw "Smitten" varietal apples. I had never tried them. The Produce guy went and cut up on for me to try! Wow, great Customer service. They were yummy and I bought some. The store is clean, the people are nice, the shelves are lined up and the produce is fresh. (Oh, and the Meat & Fish Dept is great too. No fishy smell). I recommend shopping here.”

While the Willow Glen location is close to home, this new location is right by where I work. Making it even more convenient. We love that you can bulk order any proteins, veggies, and grains.
