“We went there reading reviews here and were pleasantly surprised that the food is good. Ordered steamed veggie potstickers. Good stuffing inside but cover was too thick. Ordered Sizzling prawns platter in black pepper sauce. Prawns were small to mid size just like we like, very fresh with no fishy smell and not rubbery. Very good. Ordered Singapore rice noodles. Very close to the real deal in Singapore. The background taste of the typical curry powder was a delight. Delicious. Even the wine serving was quite generous. Will go again. Food has a clean finish and no unwanted smells or after taste. Good value for the money they charge.”

“Pizza chefs are artists. The dough is their canvas, and the sauce is their sky. They uses pepperoni or onions as the highlights. And finally, the oven of as the thin layer of glazing fluid that makes the piece shine. Artists receive almost identical trainings but most are doomed to fail. It’s the details in the works that truly determines their success. I tried to appreciate the work, but Ascona is a failed artist; every single item is missing some crucial detail. From a plate of wings that are cold near the bone to a pizza that lacks flavors. There is always something missing. Chefs here are youthful, full of energy but lacking in experience. The whole restaurant is filled with kind workers and gives off a very nostalgic atmosphere that is bound to draw families in. While the service is always accommodating, it doesn’t change the fact that the food here is inadequate.”

Our service was once again wonderful with the exception of the bar that couldn't figure out how to make the same drink from one time to the next taste the same or use the right alcohol. Not sure if they were in training but they kept trying and would return with a new one and take away the messed up one. No harm. ???? Everyone has to learn. The salmon I had was absolute perfection! We had about 30 people and not one complaint. That is amazing. Highly recommend.”

“This is my Mom's favorite pop in Mexican place when she's in the Danville area. Their food and portions are tasty and ample...still may fall a bit short of their pricing but overall a great place to dine. Especially if you like salsa, as they have a salsa bar with 4 or 5 different kinds to try... trust me, hot means HOT!! And remember folks what happens when oil comes in contact with water, it spreads. If you took a bite that is too hot for you DON'T drink water, instead eat some plain chips, even let them just hang out in your mouth a moment and they'll absorb the hot oils of the peppers....your welcome!”

“Ambiance is great. Five stars. Food came out fast. Food itself was 3 stars. Chilequies had too many chips and sausage was way salty. Bacon not very crispy. Eggs were fried but not crispy around the edge like my kids like. Potatoes also really salty. Kids say the pancakes were great. Mimosas should go in a champagne flute not wine glass. My opinion. Oh and then the credit card machine died and we had to go get cash. Not their fault.”
