Black Star Pirate BBQ

The BBQ here is awesome! I biked here with friends from Berkeley. What a nice way to end a ride! The staff was very friendly, and the food was amazing. I shared a sampler plate and it was enough for two mildly hungry cyclists. And it's a great view too!

Although it's a bit out-of-the-way, Black Star is worth the effort. Driving along the Bay and descending to the cozy harbor is a mini vacation.
The setting on the marina with lots of outdoor seating is lovely.
The food is really good, with vegetarian and vegan options.

Tender.
Juicy.
Flavorful.
And just the right amount of spices
(NOT like the kind of place that uses spices to compensate for weak meat quality).

This joint is an absolutely amazing little crown's gem in a Pirate's Treasure Chest!
Truly, one of a kind.

Wonderful hidden gem for wonderful food and awesome atmosphere. Lots of fun interesting sculptures to enjoy around the area and a dorm with goats and chickens. Suzi the owner goes around to everyone and is a joy to talk with making you feel very welcomed and at home.

So delicious!!! With live music and dinosaur! A mini excursion, without even crossing a bridge! Great service too. We had the 4 meats/4 sides combo, fed 2 hungry people with no leftovers. Fave was fish, and sweet potatoes mixed with the collards. (Dog & kid & veg friendly too.) Lots of space between tables and everybody wearing masks except when eating
