Far East

Best Chinese food in Crescent City, family owned. Family is so polite and so sweet. The three daughters are adorable and help out their family. Definitely worth going, call and order, no eating in these days, only takeout. No delivery. Would love to see them join Door Dash!

I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled to leave one for Far East. It's a great small local restaurant for take out. I've been getting take out from Far East for years. Their dishes are reliable and super delicious. Far East is run a by super friendly and nice multigenerational family! Its the best restaurant for take out in Crescent City!!!

Well this place was a delightful surprise! Fantastic service, the nicest owner and waiters. Took my 4 kids and we all ordered the spicy chicken bento. Delicious and fast.
And wait for it…..karaoke!!! Such a low pressure atmosphere even my 17 yr old teenage boy got up to try the karaoke. A memory my family will never forget.

I've eaten here a few times, whenever I am visiting Crescent City. Right now they are still observing covid precautions, so you can only get it via drive up / carryout. You don't even have to go inside. Just view the menu, call them and order, and someone comes out and gets your money. They bring the order out as soon as it is ready. Oddly, the guy who waited on me was not wearing a mask. I don't really see the point of having pick up only and servers not wearing a mask...
On this visit I ordered shrimp broccoli from the specials menu. Specials are just a little smaller and cheaper, and he said on the phone it had less shrimp. My meal, however, had plenty of shrimp and tasted fine. The brown sauce is very good.
I took off a point because the menu is not very vegetarian friendly. They offer tofu but it cost $2 extra. I wish more Asian restaurants would start offering tofu as an alternative protein in their dishes, like many vegetarian places do. It would also be nice to have more gluten-free options. They only have one dish with rice noodles instead of wheat.
I did want to add, however, that the owner is very nice and the service here is very good. It's apparent they care about their customers and making them happy, and that is always a very nice thing in this day and age.
If you are in the Crescent City area, this is really the best and only Asian place to eat. The other places I've tried were not as good.
