First experience wasn't the best but gave them another try. Small town so figured why not. Friendly staff and some good food.
Absolute kicker of a restaurant! Authentic Thai food in the middle of nowhere. Ordered the Chicken Red Thai Curry with a side of white rice, Shrimp Fried Rice and the Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. Each dish was on the money. We ordered takeout but the bar seemed to be quite the vibe to hang around in. 10/10 recommend if you’re in the area.
Low key and unassuming restaurant with bar next door. Decor is very plain, but the menu is surprisingly large. Cook grows many of the veggies on the menu. Clam strip Appetizer was small, but very tasty, we could find clams as opposed to another restaurant with more ambiance by the jetty
Hubby had coconut prawns and the sauce was made from coconut cream, the best sauce we've ever had. I ordered bbq ribs. We had to wait a bit for them, but the portion was large enough to share and meaty and tender.
I would go back there again, maybe sit in the bar to eat as to chit chat with locals. Definitely not a glamorous place, but very reasonably priced.
Got fish n chips and chicken panang. Fish n chips were good and the sauces were tasty. Penang was crazy good. Got it three stars and it came with some actual kick. I’ve had worse Penang in thailand. The coconut ice cream was amazing too! Easily the best I’ve had. Soft and light texture with crispy coconut flakes on top. Perfectly sweetened. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re feeling like Thai food. hopefully I’ll get an opportunity to come back!
Great food in an unusual location. Pad Thai is great and outrageous home made Cocanut Ice Cream for desert. Service is warm and friendly. Decor is tragic but seems to care.
