    1st time ever eating Chef Denweeds Food and it was superb! I mean no complaints, a full belly and happy taste buds! I will definitely be coming back here on the weekend. This is a wonderful place to get some freshly cooked southern comfort food! I had the Catfish dinner with mac n cheese and greens. My taste buds are watering just writing this review. Next time I will try something else, but I imagine anything from here will be amazing! If you have not tried this place then please do, yiubwill not be disappointed!

    Best southern style food in all of Bakersfield! Best staff, everything is made fresh to order, so worth the little extra wait for the very best soul food!

    I would definitely recommend calling ahead During busy times. I had to wait for almost an hour but I know the food is definitely worth it.

    Catfish great Chicken Great Tri-tip Great Sides Do not order Macaroni and cheese Are potato salad Green Yams Black Eyed Peas fantastic Also peach cobbler

    Nov’s soul spot is definitely the place to go too! If you want quality soul food made with love then check them out! The owners are very nice and they like to make sure your experience is pleasant! Everything is simply delicious. My favorite would be the catfish meal with fried shrimp, Mac and cheese, and yams!😋
