Beer so cold a polar bear would complain!

Looks fantastic, lots of upgrades but still has the old Viva layout, minus the stages for entertainment. It's an upper-class appointed, nice sit-down, adult-style restaurant. The remodel is very nicely done, not a bounce house for the kinder to befoul.

Got together with the Wolf Pack and went right before they opened for business. The staff was setting up but let us in early for cocktails. Sad to say we missed the Happy Hour, it's only on Fri, Sat, Sun.

Had drinks and appetizers in the back bar area. Drank a few draft Modelo's w/tajin rims.Beer so cold a polar bear would complain!

We ordered the mole chips and the chicken enchiladas. Both were very good, hand made, and distinctive flavors.

Our bartender Marco provided exceptional service, was knowledgeable about the remodel, the menu items, and eager to answer our questions.

My first impression is that it's a very nice place with authentic unique flavors from old Mexican recipes. This is not your Barrigans, Granadas, Don Cucos, or Acapulco style restaurant. I would say it's an upper scale authentic experience with unique flavors with small portions.

I think they'll need some time to ramp up and tweak their menu, add and remove what is or isn't working. The parking sucks unless they strine an agreement with Pickwick across the street. I wish Celia's "mucha suerte" and many years of business.

Very nice redecoration. Our server was very nice and friendly.

The food is authentic South Mexican, it's not the highly Americanized Mexican most of us are accustomed to. No burritos, quesadilla, no complimentary chips and salsa. Remember Authentic means no cheese anywhere.

The menu is very actually very limited, there are more listings for appetizers than for entrees.

I thought the mole sauce and rice was excellent. The chicken portions are tiny and paper thin. This is one of those hoity toity places where you pay $40 for dinner and have to stop at a drive through on the way home to get something to actually eat.

It's been a while since I've eaten authentic Mexican, so it was a nice evening, but I doubt I'll return. Like most Americans, I just prefer lots of cheese and chips and salsa and a lot more variety on the menu.

The food is wonderful. A fresh take on Mexican food. The remodel is beautiful. Very up to date decor. The seating is comfortable and the dining room is well spaced. The table setting is beautiful, but missing spoons and knives. They did supply more flatware upon request. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had each of the deserts, they were heavenly. The vegan and fish options were good as well. The pricing is on point with the quality of food and service. A great place with neighborhood friends or casual executive meetings. We’ll go back again when the back side of the restaurant is open. I always loved to eat by the bay windows and watch the horses. Make reservations on open table app and you’ll be seated in a very timely manner.

Don’t let the Karen’s fool you. This place is absolutely amazing! Great service and the food is incredible! People leaving bad reviews on the first couple days a place is open…really? Of course there are going to be things to work out. Have some empathy. You can feel the heart and soul the owners have poured into this place from the decor, to the food, and to the hospitality. It’s family owned and not some big corporate chain. Not kid friendly? It is…but if you think it’s not…keep going to Chuck E Cheese and Shakey’s. I will definitely be back. Shoutout to our attentive server, Martin!

Gorgeous ambience and authentic Mexican food-everything made from scratch, including the mole. REAL food, and an entire room devoted to the Rancho’s equestrian heritage and history. The owner kept the original bar after learning about the initials some locals carved into their preferred seating area. No, it’s not Viva’s…and thank God for that! Maybe the haters would prefer Taco Bell!
